Multiplayer game freezes for no reason

I have a problem with my game freezing mid game. It mostly does it during actions like sprinting, jumping, melee and reloading. The game doesn’t just freeze, it makes a noise and I don’t know how to describe it. There’s no way to predict it and it also gets me a five minute temporary ban because I have to quit the MCC application to get it to stop. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Is this in Halo 3?
Halo Support site has this:

  • In Halo 3, players can “freeze” several minutes into a multiplayer game.
  • Please submit a ticket if you encounter this issue.
Are you on console using a disc? Is the noise a kind of buzzing like the read head in the disc drive is going nuts and being stuck on a small bit of a sound clip?

This is happening to me on a digital copy. Just finished typing up my ticket and sent it out. This really sucks, man. At least I’m not the only one having this problem…

Yes, it does happen in Halo 3 but I’ve also had it happen in Halo CE, Halo 3 and Halo Reach. Halo 4 is the only one that I’ve never had that problem with. And you described the sound perfectly. Yes I do have a physical copy. It’s unpredictable when it will happen but I still play online. It doesn’t happen everytime I play but it least once a week.

I’d follow their advice and submit a ticket.

For the sound - I used to get this with the original Halo game on the original XBox. DIdn’t happen often though.
