So, tell me 343i - why in the -Yoink- did you FORCE players to have to be on Xbox Live to access ANYTHING other than Solo campaign? Seriously? Who’s -Yoinking!- idea was that?
I can’t play Forge SOLO because I’m forced to use a dedicated server (an apparently buggy one at that)
I can’t play Theater and watch saved films of previous games without a dedicated server?
I can’t play Custom Games without a dedicated server? (Don’t even get me started on not implementing split-screen for any custom games)
NO multiplayer feature works without Xbox Live Gold or access to the dedicated servers? Why? This is a development idea that just tore the game apart. EVERY game has the ability to access at least some features offline. Especially with Halo, I should at least be able to Forge.

Yep, without access to Xbox Live you cannot access any part of the game other than Solo Campaign.

Still have to have access to XBL though, which is still total BS if you ask me. Theater and Custom Games should be accessible at all times. If i play a Custom Game in split screen (if they ever decide to implement that, which i dont think they will as they’ve sacrificed split screen for 60FPS) then i should be able to watch that game in theater. And again, I want to play forge without a dedicated server or XBL connection. These things should be a given for game developers.
and i think i heard somewhere that some of the devs from Bungie that worked on the Halo series moved in with 343i to help them…
It really doesn’t bother a lot of people because why wouldn’t you be connected? Sure, it would be nice if you could do these things offline but with cloud storage and the way games are nowadays it’s not abnormal at all really.
Unless your internet goes out or you’re moving your Xbox somewhere with no internet (How often do you do that?) it really can’t be affecting you that much at all.

And what about those people that don’t have internet? I can’t personally afford it at the moment, and I would still love to enjoy the game, but I can’t. Just because a LOT of people have it doesn’t mean everyone does, and they lose fans because of things like this. especially when servers go down and players are forced to either play the story or play another game.
