Multiplayer Day/Night Cycle

Hey everyone! I want to preface this post by letting you know I’m 32 years old and have never posted on a forum in my life… so I apologize if I’m doing this incorrectly

I think one of the things we take for granted during social/competitive multiplayer matches is the ambiance of the maps we play and I believe 343 has the tools to make something like this happen.

I’m just curious if anyone agrees with me here? A day/Night cycle like they do in sports games (Rocket League, FIFA, Madden, etc.)

Maybe not something as extreme as midnight… but rather a dusk/morning sunlight style to change up the presentation of the same map we will be shredding on for years to come.

I totally understand wanting the “same thing” in a competitive situation from the hardcore players. But maybe a little flavor in our 4v4’s and BTB’s wouldn’t hurt?

Let me know what you think!

I would love to see a rotational night game mode. Imagine king of the hill or team rocket during a night mode?

A Day/Night Cycle would be cool.

I wonder what Behemoth would look like at night…? I should hope the night sky would be filled with stars, at least. But yes, I think it would be a marvellous idea! When was the last time we had a night map? Gephyrophobia from Halo CE PC version? Oh, Skyline from Halo 4!

I think a day/night cycle is a really great way to breath new life into an existing map. Would be a welcome edition to social playlists. An example of day night cycle in pvp, would be destiny’s crucible. I always enjoyed that experience.

That would be awesome actually, I’d even like it to go a step further and potentially give some of the maps alternate weather conditions as well. Like rain, snow or seasonal atmospheres like fall or summer. I think different map conditions can definitely add a lot more replay value, as well as be an awesome mechanic for forge.

I’m absolutely loving your feedback, family! Well thought-out and very interesting points all around!

Thanks for the positivity and creative input
