Multiplayer Corpses. Faze Out.

It would be nice if Corpses Faze Out. Rather than just abruptly Dissapearing.

Maybe a Blue or Red Glow transitioning into Fade Out.

What do You think?

343 Has two routes to take this, either draw attention to the bodies disappearing and make it look less abrupt, or simply let them disappear without drawing attention but let it be more abrupt. Your idea is the former, I don’t know which I’ll like better though.

Meh. I don’t think I’d be any more or less surprised by bodies disappearing than I would be from bodies phasing out of existence as though Scottie was transporting the crew of the Enterprise back to the ship. Whichever uses fewer resources and leaves them available for other areas.

I’d kind of like some of the bodies to stay for the game, honestly.

I want the Angry Birds faze out. Play a farting sound and then it disappears under specifically colored feathers

Considering it’s all simulation, I’d be down for bodies just dispersing into digital pixels like when you kill someone with a promethean weapons.

interesting. Reminds me of the scrapped idea Bungie came up with during Halo 2s development for dealing with bodies. A swarm of bugs would fly in, cut up the body, and make it disappear.

Any sort of glow or flashyness of the body vanishing would be garish and annoying. We already have weapon highlights on the ground, we don’t need bodies making extra effects as well. The way they have handled bodies vanishing in every Halo has been fine in the past, no need to get any crazy ideas.

How can it be any More Garish that what Happens to Prometheans.

Why not have the same Effects for Spartan Deaths. But with slightly Muted Effects.

Since War Games is set in a simulation, why don’t bodies glitch out or digitize with a cool animation? I think it would make things more believable. As long as it isn’t any more abrupt or distracting than them just vanishing.

Not sure how a corpse disappearing is a distraction…

No thanks. That’d just cause the game’s framerate to slow down to a crawl.

I would like the corpses to stand up, shake dust off of their armor, and promptly hop off the edge of the map.

I like your idea OP

Why? The games performance would suffer significantly.

He’s saying that any animation they use shouldn’t be distracting. At least with a simple disappearance there’s nothing flashy to distract people during gameplay, but an animation might be distracting if not done properly.

I actually came here to say the same thing about a digitization animation. I think it would be neat and it goes well with the War Games simulation thing.

That’s exactly what I mean. If War Games is actually a in-universe simulation, they might as well make it feel like one. Sort of like how you can tell how Saints Row IV’s city takes place in a simulation. I think something like a body disappearing animation would be good so long as it isn’t noticeable enough to distract players. It should be quick but cool looking.

No it is good as it is i ignore the whole simulation thing

Not really a fan of this, especially this close to the release.

meh. not a big deal for me

I want the bodies to stay. Halo 5 Warzone is gonna have a lot of brutal battles and a lot of players are going to die close to each other, so having them stay where they are the whole time would look awesome, just to see the battlefield littered with bodies.
