Just saw a video of Halo 4 multiplayer on this youtube link:

After watching I am a bit confused and slighty disapointed. It looks like Halo 4 is COD on the Halo engine. Not that I mind change its just not halo anymore. In the past 10 years halo has been at every MLG tournament, last year Halo was not at a mlg tournament because Halo reach was not competitive enough as previous halo games. Now, yes Halo games can be for fun as well, but when you turn the game into a more Cod style of game all you will do is lose many of the Halo fans that enjoy a simple multiplayer focused on winning and the mayhem that insues during frantic games.
In this vid. the things that concerned me where:
No weapons on map
Kill streak wepaon drops
and the thermal vision might be ok but its hard to tell
Trust me 343 you will lose many customers if you keep kill streaks and make the game more like CoD. I play Cod for Cod and Halo for Halo. Not Cod for Cod and Halo for Cod…
That’s Infinity Slayer; all that applies only to 1 game type.
Thay talk about playlists retaining a more “Classic Halo” feel. See you there?

OK, let me address your concerns. Only Infinity Slayer has no weapons on the map, this also addresses number two, because weapon drops are only in Infinity Slayer (and they are not kill streaks, they are points streaks). Your last concern, they are nerfing Promethean Vision. Even though it is not turning into COD, they would get a lot more customers if it did, I don’t know if you know this, but COD is the leader of video games right now. Last, there’s this thing called spell check. It puts these little red zig zag lines under words you misspell. If you right click on the word, it shows you suggestions of the word you want to spell. I knew that going a whole day without seeing one of these threads was to good to be true.
This has been established already. The only 3 major similarities are PERSONAL ordinance drops, loadouts and sprint, none of which function like they will in Black Ops 2. Sure, you can draw other similarities, but who plays CoD for instant respawn and weapon camoflages?

In some ways I guess it is becoming more than CoD. I personally think the online looks pretty bad. Promethean vision? I think that should be cut from Multiplayer. I’m sure it won’t feel like CoD though. It will play differently.
Look Im not trying to dis halo 4 its just I wish they would focus on bringing back some more competitive elements to halo like a ranked playlist and whatnot.

I’m going to assume that sprint, AA’s and loadouts will be in there, as they were in Reach in some shape or form which makes them “classic” as they were in a previous game.

What’s to bring back. Admit that a majority of the time, people are asking to take away from Halo 4 than bring back.
There’s not that much to bring back. Things haven’t been confirmed yet. Play classic if you honestly want something similar to what you are looking for.
First off 343 has actually been catering to mlg as they invited some of the big mlg halo peeps to play awhile back and there’s also a crap load of mlg halo 4 gameplay on YouTube so the whole mlg thing is still present and your just being one of those things, also if you watch that mlg gameplay their are weapon pick ups, lololololololol that’s one game mode with killstreaks, 343 knows what they’re doing leave em be
