So starting last night my Halo randomly stopped allowing me to play any multiplayer games. This includes all Arena game modes and Warzone. It was working fine since I bought the game.
What happens for me is I will choose a game mode for example Warzone. Then it will go to the screen where it’s finding a dedicated server and you can see all the other players Emblems in the game with you. It gets all the way to where it’s about to be done loading and then the error message pops up and says “Connection Lost - Returning you to Local Server” or something along those lines. I tried again today and the same issue is occurring.
I restarted my router and everything. My internet is fine. All games and apps work. Just Halo is messed up. What is the problem? I didn’t spend my money to not be able to play the game. I have no interest in the Campaign Bc I heard it’s terrible and I never cared about Halo campaign anyway. Fix this ASAP or I’ll be returning this game and ditching the franchise forever.
Same thing just started happening to me. I have played this game for weeks now without issue. All of a sudden I log on to play and my connect drops during the game formation. I was playing earlier today with no issue. I reset router, tested my connection via Xbox settings and there are no issues with my connection, only issues with poor programming of this game.
Edit: to fix this issue, quit the halo app manually then restart it. Software gets glitches but doing a full quit and reload seems to fix it.
The same started happening to me on Friday (Nov 27th). I couldn’t even start an Arena or Warzone game i.e. A few seconds after it starts searching for players I get the ‘Connection Lost’ screen. Previous to this, I had lost connection mid-game on a few occasions but naturally assumed it was my internet.
I have tested my internet, and concluded that it cant be the issue as it works fine with all other connected devices in the house, and other Xbox games I play.

Yeah, this is becoming a real problem as of late. My friend and I are experiencing this issue and many more. Being booted from games, severe lag, can’t connect to lobby, etc. Gettijg borderline unplayable, starting to feel like the MCC. I moved on from the MCC because I was tired of dealing with the bugs, and now I find myself dealing with the same mess here. Didn’t even give me credit for my last warzone game, told me it couldn’t connect to the server or lobby and kicked me back to the main screen. Unacceptable.

Tried to play 2 games of warzone got kicked put of both of them. Never seen the dedicated server problem pop up midgame.
Edit: I didnt have the new system update. Might have been the problem, trying again now.
Edit2: havent been kicked since i updated. Probably a coincidence, but its working for now.
