I have almost lost my sanity with the number of players in MP (in all the games on the collection) that either betray teammates for no good reason or just use cheats to gain an unfair advantage and I have been desperate for 343 to add an option to blacklist players so that the game will avoid matching you up with those blacklisted players unless there is no other game available in which case it would notify you that you are being matched with a blacklisted player. This way you would have a more immediate solution to the problem than just sending an report and waiting for an unknown amount fo time for 343 to penalize or ban a player. In addition to this I’d also (though it is unlikely to be possible) have the feature to see what other accounts a player has used so that these blacklisted players can’t just avoid be blacklisted by using a different account. 343 needs to deal with this issue as soon as they possibly can because the state MP is in right now is unacceptable.
Back in the day if you block players via the Xbox Guide it would prevent you from matching up with them. The community started to exploit this by blocking high ranked players in ranked playlists to the point the top players would never find a match. Since then 343 has removed any such functionality in matchmaking. If it were to return every team you beat would just block you.

We asked 343 many times to implement afk detection in game and also we requested to make the game automatically kick people when they do too much damage to teammates but 343 literally didn’t do anything to fix these huge problems. The only “fix” is playing with trusted friends
But what I’m suggesting wouldn’t completely stop you from being matched with a blacklisted player it would just greatly reduce the likelihood of them being in matches with you. The game would still match you up with them if there was no other match available.
I really wish 343 would get off their backsides and actually deal with these issues and if they already are doing something about it they should update us on what is happening as I really can’t stand them drip feeding information like this. Even if the news is they aren’t even close to fixing the issue at least that would give the impression that they are actually making an effort to actually fix the problems.
