Spamming the “Options and Extras” (back button) and B button over and over will eventually cause a null menu to pop up and you will not be able to dismiss it.
Don’t ask why I did this.
So when I start the beta I see the home screen then as soon as I hit continue to the game the beta freezes and I can’t play it. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
The only time I found a match I got DC’d half way through it and beta keeps crashing.
I understand it’s a beta but seeing as how it’s almost unplayable, I am disappointed.
It freezed when I was in a match don’t know if this was the game or just my Xbox
Game froze when it started the opening cutscene after the epic menu. Had to quit a start up the game 2 more times but it works now, very fun
The “Waiting for Players” screen doesn’t disappear after all players have loaded
Other players (such as the one on my team) were able to play, while I was unable to provide any input to the game.

Leaving a game does not count against your matches played
In the game that I froze in, both my teammate and I left the game. The game did not count for either of us. (The game also doesn’t count for the other team. So the losing team can leave and it will basically be as if the game was never played at all)
Base health bars are gray
The health bars for the main bases (at least, UNSC) are gray instead of red and do not reflect damage dealt to them (Only applies to the base, not the buildings around it)
Hornet bullets are . . . odd
Just playing a single match using hornets and you’ll see what I mean. Sometimes they appear to be shooting in the entirely opposite direction.
Game crashes on startup
As others have mentioned, the game crashes fairly often during the opening tutorial.
Difficult to lock on to small targets
The sentinels are unusually difficult to lock on to using your cursor

I was an avid halo wars player. I really hope HW2 is nowhere near being done after playing this beta. I was really hoping there would be some minlr changes to hw1, updated graphics, a few new units, better controls to micro manage your army, etc, etc. Is tjere no way to control your whole army?

I can’t even play beta since it crashes when ever I get to the intro movie. Got past it once but then it crashed. On attempt number 12 maybe this time it will work.
I noticed that a lot of players don’t really pay attention to picking their heroes, probably because it takes a while to find a match. I suggest using any sound for when you finally join a lobby. Really the game doesn’t have enough audio or visual cues, and the UI leaves me wondering. I hope that part is fixed the most

i figured out how to play, at the very start dont press start, press choose profile then pick your profile and it should work

Which rang do you got are the ranks the same as in Halo 5 :D?
Game crashes a lot on loading screen. Have to wait till the press start diaramma gets to the second camera angle. Otherwise it crashes on the tutorial.
Swap the rb and lb with the rt and lt. That’s the original halo wars mapping and it worked better.

I can not pass the “Thank you for your participation in this beta” screen. I press the A button and nothing happens. I can not play the Beta.
I downloaded the beta and i get to the title screen and i press the start button but what i can only assume is a video trys loading but it freezes on a screen showing “halo wars 2” with “skip” in the bottom right corner next to the “b” button

I did this and it still froze lol I hope they fix this problem.
Problems:
Loading screen lacks clarity, unsure when the game is about to start
Doing anything on the menu screen such as snapping an app crashes Halo Wars 2 beta
Units occasionally just start running for no reason
Audio and animation is missing certain features that make it unclear if anything is being done
Unclear where you are being attacked
Abilities do not show up most of the time making it hard to figure out what it does (snipers doesn’t appear, tanks, but the warthogs does)
When an enemy unit got to close to a tank it sometimes swivels the wrong way.
Coloring is a bit to cartoonie for my taste (Opinion)
Occasionally the parts of the maps disappear or break from certain angles, but only for periods of time.
Game occasionally crashes, blowing up your base. Two fix options, allow rejoins or allow your ally to control your base, units and resources.
Other than that it is pretty good, I just hope domination is not the main game mode.
