-when starting up Halo Wars 2 beta, after clicking the button prompted on the main screen (the screen with the spartans and the warthog), the screen freezes. Sometimes it freezes on this screen, and other times it freezes when trying to skip the tutorial video. Quitting the game would not resolve the issue, but restarting xbox seemed to fix this. This happened 3 times so far. Fun game other than that though!
Loving the death match mode and the map is amazing some more bugs Iv encountered are…
game randomly crashes not sure on the reason
just like in domination mode the game just seems to randomly end usually always after at least 15 minutes of play time and all players get the defeat screen, then on the end game leaderboards it will say one team won ?
units seem to crowd around the base doorway
rather than go to the rally point, also noticed some units a bit unresponsive to commands when being told to move or attack somewhere
if units are in a garrison when I select all units with RB the ones in garrisons keep jumping out surely that’s a mistake as they should stay put ??
the Vulcans special ability doesn’t seem to work sometimes or the animation of it is broken yesterday it just randomly went off of its own doing
I hope there is more than one Spartan available in the full game, also I think it needs to be more clearer which vehicle your Sparta is currently in command of
could the minibases (the two slot ones) we can build have just 1 turret slot added to them ? You spend alot of money on them upgrading the buildings to have no defence at all
thats all I can think of right now but I do love the game and some of the new units are great especially that artillery and the siege defence towers, the commander point menu is also great with some very well designed powers such as the turret drop or pelican gunship sweep … Doing a great job guys !!
I’ve finally gotten a chance to try to play the beta, but I’ve been sitting in the “find match” menu for nearly a half hour. Nothing. Is no one playing, or am I just stuck?
Bug to report:
For some reason when using an elite controller with the hair lock trigger turned on the game isn’t registering it as it should. When pressed it should bring up the radial dial for the commander skills the player has purchased, but with the hair trigger lock on it behaves like LB and allows the user to pan quickly around the map. When turning the hair lock trigger off LT works as expected.
First of all, let me just say the game is fun so far despite the bugs and I can see it has alot of potential to be great.
Now, on to the bugs/suggestions:
Takes a few tries to connect to the Halo server and get a game going.
Unit selection cursor should be slightly magnetized
Units secondary “Y” abilities don’t seem to work consistently and some aren’t even visible when they’re executed
Units/Groups sometimes stop moving before they’ve reached their marked destination
Can’t see the Mac cannon or the Cleansing beam when firing
Can’t see building health when attacking
Balance between unit types seems off, but it’s hard to gauge with both veterency AND damage boosts as a factor
It’s kinda -Yoink- that you can just build a pack of like 15 jump-pack brutes and decimate and entire base in seconds
The Veterency/Damage/Upgrade variables are a bit overly complex and almost make eachother a bit redundant. For example, I assume the veterency makes my units stronger, but so does the Unit-type damage upgrade, and so does the unit-specific upgrade
All infantry should housed within the Barracks/Raid Camp.
Standard HQ’s should only produce scout units

Lastly, please make a good, well-thought-out campaign and don’t let Microsoft change it around and -Yoink- it up like they did with Halo 5.
Bug: I sometimes can not seem to select to build a supply pad for the first 5-6 seconds of the game, but the left thumbstick is able to select other things in the build wheel, it’s just supply pad that I can’t select.
Not a major bug but I like to set one building in the first 1-2 seconds so it’s a bit annoying.
Okay first off the starting cinematic doesnt load properly and i have to skip it to play and is there no current animation for the units firing? I notice some units do but not all of my units will have an animation.
There seems to be some bugs whilst using Atriox, if you lose fps massively whilst constructing a building (In my case it was a generator) it would have a drop-ship that was on the verge of constructing it freeze in place, and won’t place it. You’ll attempt to build it again, and won’t allow it. Further more, I’ve encountered problems when using the Atriox commander abilities, Eradication and what i believe was called “Beam of Destruction” tend to not be visualized or appearing on my screen, and is hard to control.
Another problem i’ve encountered is when you’re placing suicide grunts on a turret being built. It would cause fps to drop and once you regain your FPS, the drop-ship would be hovering over your base (During that time my base had a shield) what’s up with that?
BTW… can you guys fix the whole player thing? when your fellow player leaves or is AFK, it isn’t fair for the person who has to fend off the enemies. There needs to be a punishment system or have players join mid-game.
The initial tutorial video causes the game to freeze 9 out of 10 times.
For that reason I rapidly press ‘B’ right after pressing the menu button hoping it will really skip without freezing.
Instead of the red B logo next to “SKIP” it often shows “@B_Button@”
The ‘Find Match’ main screen often freezes with just gray boxes being rendered.

The game almost never recovers when showing “waiting for players” which seems to happen only if one or
more players didn’t select a commander in time.
There seems to be a lag when using the radial menus.
Ever since Deathmatch came out whenever a a game starts it takes forever to load the map and when it finally does I get stuck on the “Waiting for players…” screen. Haven’t been able to play at all.
Not sure if this is where I post bugs, but after checking the controller layout in the menu, upon backing out the flavor text was replaced with Latin. After looking it up (not gonna lie thought it was an easter egg) apparently it’s used as dummy text in a lot of different things, so imagine that’s the case here?

En mode Deathmatch,
A deux reprises, alors qu’il ne me restait plus qu’une base ennemi à détruire, l’ennemi n’ayant plus d’unité, et étant entrain de l’achever une bonne fois pour toute. L’écran titre “Defaite” est apparu.
Néanmoins cela ne me considère pas de partie en classé.
Donc deux choses :
“Defeat” when I’m try to kill the last base and I’ve 3 or 4 base and lot of unity

Why are we getting a Beta this early?
Did it sneak up on anybody else? I totally didn’t see it coming.
Now for my experience.
Much like many others I had problems upon starting the game. When I finally got it working and got a match and eventually loaded into the game (took 3-5 minutes) I had a decent time. It’s quite different from the original game. I only played one match though.
