Any of you guys installing an update?
Other bugs - some times when trying to join another player I get a scorpion in the background and 2 empty blue squares and an empty blue sidebar. It just freezes there and that’s the end.
sonetimes I get the music and a black screen and don’t reach the press start to play screen.
Disconnects for me, ally or enemies seems very frequent altogether too
It is a beta, some a lot of bugs are expected. Here is a small list I have compiled:
- Lot’s of issues with visual effects disappearing or not triggering at all. - Performance across the board. Very sluggish at times just selecting things from the radial menu. - Leader Menu is also sluggish and at times not responsive. - Audio bugs, sometimes the sound cuts outOne last note, we all know this is a Beta and we all know to expect issues, but if you read the majority of the replies in this thread and others in regards to the Beta, the game is giving a bad taste in many peoples opinions including myself. While I accept issues with beta testing, I hope that 343 and Creative offer a second beta a few months before release so that it has an opportunity to give off a good impression.
Just now got into my first game. my feedback that i can provide so far: improve the load times please, it doesn’t take 5 min to load a small map geeeezzzz. also, i sat there “waiting for players” for 5 min while in the map, unable to do anything b4 i had to manually quit out of the game.
also, WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THE WORST GAME MODE to have us beta test??? Domination is terrible. deathmatch is THE BEST game mode from the original halo wars. WHERE IS THAT GAME MODE???
just from the fact that sooo many ppl are having issues getting into a game to begin with, you need to extend the open beta so for those of us that can’t play a match can do so once the initial rush to play the beta has ended.

lol @ everybody complaining about it being broken. It’s a beta, of course it’s broken.
So the “patch” for me has officially made it worse. I’ve tried 20 consecutive times to get into searching and it freezes everytime once I hit start on main menu. Also freeze when it says “downloading update files” or something like that. I also get @B_Button@SKIP in the lower right corner which makes it freeze. Really wanted to play this with the girlfriend tonight…
My beta would not get past the tutorial video until I uninstalled and re-installed.
The game works very well, finding players is fast and easy. I don’t know what the ranks are, I qualified gold 6 after winning 7 of my 10 qualification matches, seems like I should at lease be Platinum unless the top rank is Platinum, maybe clarify ranking system? I know it’s not so important in the beta.
The game has only crashed on me once and it was not mid game, it was before finding players.

Hey guys I just got the beta and it keeps saying I need a disk don’t know it its the beta or system.
got it to bring me to the main menu but now i can’t even start a match.
after restarting the game i finally managed to find a match. load times are unacceptably long.
game finally loads with a screen that says “victory”
I never thought it was possible to do worse than Battlefield 4’s launch
With the new update I can finally understand what I´m doing, great job there!
A problem I still encounter though is the teambased stuff. the matches are rarerly full, due to Connection errors I presume?
3gb update did nothing… 3gb??? I know it’s a beta but this is also a first impression and so far it’s been very bad
The only problems I’ve had with the beta so far is the initial launching of the game, it would freeze multiple times before I could get in, and the random kicking of players on my team mid match. Besides these couple of glitches, and yes I understand that it’s a beta and these things happen, it’s been a really good beta! Good job 343i.
Very bad so far, not a fan of domination at all. Halo Wars was amazing and seeing where Halo Wars 2 is going right now, not so great. Would like to see more in the beta how are we supposed to test a game for you with only 25% of it there going off of what I have seen in it so far will not be pre ordering it. Simply would be a waste of my hard earned money. Please fix this game, the graphics are okay, miss the old ones but willing to do with change. But you also need to make some changes to this game. Many people get on this beta and just end up going back to playing Halo Wars

Noticed that when the vultures where firing there was no animation or was that lag? But love the game so far hope there is more modes to play. Also why is there no upgrades for the vehicles I get that wolverines and kodiaks are awesome out the gate but I have yet to see the ability for a long standing game with your opponents when the core has stayed fairly the same the new stuff isn’t explained at all I’m a hardcore diehard fan of halo wars never stopped playing it and have high hopes for this game but if all else fails reduce halo wars 1 and rerelease that beautiful masterpiece RTS on console will never be beat
