Yeah, I succeed like one out of three times I start the game, the waiting for players overlay bug is one of the most annoying. I don’t mind the bad or non existent particle effects, as long as it’s fixed, at least you can still play the game.
Every time I can get past a loading screen with out a freeze an I am in a game it ends within 30 to 1.20…seconds and must find new game cause host backed out which ends game … Wtf I thought halo would he better than that I’m going to black ops the original call of duty its the only old time game that can keep up

This junk -Yoink- beta has froze on every single screen except the beta notice, good job churning out another high quality game 343.
you can’t pick up the blue crates around the map it only lets you pick up the gold crates.
Anyone else been experiencing issues when you first load into a game? When it finally loads up to play a match and it says waiting for players to join and You see your teammate moving around capturing points but you are stuck with that message and can’t move?
I am a xbox preview member with the LXOE update (with cortana) the last beta I tried to play that had been released right after a preview update had very similar issues with game connection (not sure if this has anything to do with it). As I have read through the comments regarding this beta I see hundreds of comments on the same issue that I have had. ie not loading past the start screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice done a hard reset (unplugging power) and with no success. The farthest I’ve need in to the beta was a screen that reads “downloading the latest game configuration data…” I haven’t seen a menu screen nor the tutorial. I have to say that I feel this beta was “rushed” and IF 343 understands its game fans they WILL fix this problem and do a second beta by invite only for the people who have tried and failed to play this beta. I would love to give feedback on the game play however that is NOT possible!!!
It blows that this is the only place I can provide feedback, despite being a huge fan of how you adapted RTS for console, and despite the fact that I’ve been an avid fan of HW for years.
That being said, you’ve completely screwed up everything that made this rts a good transition to console in the first place.
No easy button links, horribly.complicated building trees, and not enough time to develop skill with the beta, let alone the fact that halo veterans should have an advantage based on their experience and willingness to back the game as a continuation.

That screen also says that this is a beta build - and tells you to expect crashes. NAB (not a bug) here.

I’ve even tried reinstalling the game and I’m still having this issue.

I don’t understand why they felt the need to rush this game out. It was only last year that they were hiring people to get this game started. I was shocked and concerned by what the quality of the game was going to be when I heard it was getting released this year. Not surprised this beta is bug ridden.
Just gonna list the bugs I ran into:
- Freezing was a big issue at various stages when loading the game, but once I got I to matchmaking it worked fine.
- There were points when animations appeared to stop including the cleansing bean which made it difficult to co-ordinate in some battles.
- “Waiting for players” appeared for me and the enemy team was already capturing the domination points. It is imperative that both teams start at the same time for obvious reasons.
Couple of things I noticed. To make the different mini base such as generator supply pad I would have press on it several times. Also commands are not loud enough. I can hear sound effects for characters and shooting just fine. The game freezes a lot. That needs to be fixed.

Spam the skip button right after you hit start 
worked for me
I can’t seem to get past the screen where you push start.
It freezes on the video when the Halo Wars 2 logo comes up.
I have tried hammering B, but then it just freezes on the next multiplayer menu screen, which it has only partially managed to load anyway.
Does anyone have a fix I could try? I have tried redownloading it and hammering the B button.
For me, it wont even let me enter a game it just keeps saying ‘lost connection to halo wars severs’ or something along those lines.
First off i played Halo wars since day 1, played hundreds of hours on it
I am loving the beta! Graphics are amazing, new units are amazing, and im looking forward towards the full game. I love the new cyclops unit.
Cons: The camera is too close and requires zoom function. Need an indicator for units picking up supplies and taking control points. Louder unit voices to acknowledge actions. Controls were a bit confusing at first compared to Halo wars 1 but quick to get use to. Jack rabbit seems useless. Brute Chief has no power anymore or is it glitched?
Also the combat pace seems slow but looks okay
