Also, sometimes when you attack an enemy base, the health bar won’t correctly show on the base itself and shows that it has no health left before you have even started hitting it.

the game starts, all played but I had a message that said other players while waiting for my teammates played :frowning:

I found out that the enemies are disappearing & reappearing at the same time.

Game crashes consistently at the tutorial video when skipped, as well as occasionally at the “start” menu.
Losing screen disconnects:
"The game kicked me in a match right before it closed out for a victory, showed a defeat screen that also clearly showed me on the winning team, and said defeat simultaneously.

EDIT: The above glitch happened again.

Captains commands are super laggy, if used immediatley after the captains commands upgrades, have had it freeze there.

Frame rate drop in full infantry fights- not surprising but strategically speaking I couldnt always tell fast enough that commander techs were being used against me, or be able to drop my own fast enough.

Probably not a bug, but at the start of a game "waiting for players had a few noteworthy things:
-could last minutes or skip completely
-showed in the background(where the waiting for players screen is the overlay) it showed us the last screen we would see of the previous game, whereas in games you complete sometimes you can see the scores attempt to reset, I assume as a way to mask that.

Have had occasions on point C where I could see enemy infantry through the fog of war as shadows as they approached it.

More of a complaint: the two or three disconnects I had, having played all placement matches with a same friend, led me to place significantly lower than he did, him having played all 10 0oacement matches as well. In cases of the disconnects, we knew they were server side because we remained in amy xbox live chat throughout all of them.

My game constantly crashes right before the tutorial turns off and I’ve tried everything to get it working. Also the load times are unbearable and I’ve had many disconnection issues with other players. Also the limit cap is extremely small

Some of the stuff i have run into.

sound and animations not showing up in some matches.

Commander saying that our team is losing when we are actually winning.

DOMINATION - randomly being defeated when i still have nearly 2000 tickets.

units running back and forth not being able to find their path unless you reselect them and choose destination.

blue team colour could do with a tweak, maybe use purple?

more unit upgrades, some units go without upgrades which is disappointing if you want to base your team on them.

more to come if i spot them but other then that, looks great, keep up the good work. :+1:t2:

So…My units just stand around other units and just start to die, no animation for shooting or anything.

I thought this game was in beta not pre alpha.

I have the same issue. I paused the download and did a hard reset on Xbox. After the reboot Xbox correctly labeled the game but it is still downloading at a crippling slow pace. I’m talking mostly 1Mb/s or less mostly. I’m up to 88%. Let me know if yours finished and works.

I have barely had any problems with crashing/freezing at all, my gameplay experience has been awful. First and most annoying bug for me is that units will randomly been unresponsive, and proceed to just sit there and die. The second is a unit’s movement will glitch and it will fly at a regular place to where I have told them to go, but this causes the above issue upon arrival, although the above glitch has happened before without this one. The third is units ignoring orders and doing something totally different. I.e. Telling them to go somewhere, then they will return to the rally point. The last thing is just a comment: The alerts are WAY TOO QUIET and they do not appear on the minimap. This has led to my entire group being wiped out because I wasn’t even aware of the battle.

I’m able to play.

I’ve never had any crashes, so lucky me!

Things I’ve noticed that I feel need to be fixed:

Performance- I know you can’t do much for this this far into development, but even small scale battles drop the frame rate.

Switching locations- When I switch from one location to another, say, from an army to my base, occasionally my base will be there, but the surrounding environment will be black (unloaded). A little movement of my left stick triggers it to load in.

Firing animations- I haven’t noticed this as much with Atriox and his Covenant units, but sometimes units will engage an enemy and fire in a different direction than the enemy. Very common with my warthogs, as I well send them to attack the Sentinels by a Domination Point and they shoot off into nowhere. I can’t tell if this affects damage dealt (it looks like it doesn’t). This also happens with Hornets, although I haven’t tried all of the units yet.

In relation to the above, I find that when my Covenant units fire at an airborne unit, and it is destroyed, they continue to fire for a very short time. This is normal. However, because they continued to fire after the enemy was destroyed, there is nothing for the shots to connect to, and the fly for a short distance before stopping in the air, and then disappearing.

That’s all I can think of so far, I’ll keep finding ones as I can go.

I’m getting frequent crashes, freezes, and disconnects on my end. The third successful game I was able to connect to gave me a message saying ‘waiting for other players’ while all other players were actively engaged in the match.

Okay, I figured out a way to get past this freeze while trying to recreate the error to help my friend troubleshoot it, because I didn’t run into the error until I purposely tried to recreate it.

  • Title Screen: Press X instead of the menu button to see your profile and sign in.
  • Immediately begin pressing the B Button to skip the tutorial vid that causes many freezes.
  • Screen will freak out a bit and you may see some game code where it would normally say “press b to skip” but it will disappear quickly.
  • The “Find Match” screen should appear, with you being able to pick the “Halo Wars 2 Beta” PlaylistHope this works for you, and have fun playing the Beta!

Sometimes the effects such as bullets and explosions wont happen, and there’s literally a hole in the floor of the map in the far left corner, a little buggy but super fun!

Also it feels like the units aren’t responding correctly to orders sometimes, they’ll stop moving randomly, or just not move at all.

Edit: I forgot to mention there’s no picture/cover art for the game, its just a green square, and when installing it showed up as “legdrop” and on startup the game freezes if I don’t immediately skip the intro sequence

Sorry that I keep adding these instead of just one comment, but I keep forgetting about them and finding new ones. Whenever you recycle a base, your leader will say that the enemy has destroyed that building, even though it was recycled, not attacked and destroyed.
