A beta is a pre release game that gives us a taste of what is to come in the beta. The purpose of releasing beta’s out to the public is so that 343 can identify issues it may not have encountered during playtesting. Just because it is a part of the game doesn’t mean that the game is fully developed yet, there is still over 8 months to go until it’s full release yet.
Anyone have any luck getting passed the constant freezing?
I’m having several issues so far to include but not limited to being unable to make it passed the title screen.
When the game initially boots I can notice what seems to be missed cues with the background audio, primarily noticed after the company names are displayed the music starts back up as if the game is starting and then abruptly stops to advise me on the games rating.
Then the music begins again with a short blank screen pause or delay, followed by the title page being displayed, I can observe my player profile in the bottom right corner is correct (have not attempted to switch profiles yet), and I’m directed to initiate passed the title page by pressing the menu button. After I do the game seems to attempt playing a video file (with a skip prompt in the bottom right by pressing B) but the video freezes instantly on the image of “halo wars 2” and I’m unable to do anything else at that point. The game is unresponsive to any commands.
I have tried to quit and restart the game, and also tried soft and hard console reboots but still have had no luck.
So far I have played 4 games 
Great game, but game mode Domination should be removed and bring back classic game mode
The loading screen wont load to MP alot of the time but if you keep doing it, it will eventually do it.
Even if you winning the commanding voice says you losing. Thats all ive seen, great game other wise:)JWALKAZ
I have it downloaded, and it won’t let me start playing. I’m stuck after the initial start screen. You can’t promise me free Gold Packs for Halo 5 and then not let me play, lol.
I get stuck on “waiting for players” everytime I try to play a match while my enemies take every base. I can’t even play it’s just frozen
Is anyone else having the problem where after you get to the title screen and you press start, the cinematic that plays freezes as soon as it starts? After about 20 tries of opening, freezing, and restarting, it finally played the whole way through. Having this fixed would be great

Yes, I’m also experiencing this issue
I can’t even call this a beta if I can’t even get past the launch screen. I press start to launch it and boom it freezes on the screen that says Halo Wars 2.
I’ve downloaded the beta yesterday and I’ve quit out of it 20 times and I’ve only gotten though once to the main menu… I get stuck at the “thank you for your participation in this beta” screen and how I got though it was leaving it on for just a little over an hour and I came back pressed A and I got passed but then it stopped… I’m super excited for this but I’m so tired of trying any tips? I’ve tried almost everything
Another issue I and many others have had, is the fact that even when all your units are on an enemy point, it either
- Takes a lot longer than it usually does to cap it
- Won’t capture the point at all.
If someone from 343 would respond to someone’s comments about the freezing issue, that would be great.
couple bugs i noticed so far.
- when enemy units attack sometimes they are not there and all you can see is the bullets, I had this problem with hornets killing my tanks.
- When a new game starts sometimes the waiting for players blue thing comes up and will be there for 5 min and then your teammate will disconnect leaving a 2v1 which is annoying.
3.long loading screens but its beta so I’m not too worried.
- game freezes if you skip tutorial video. on that note do not make the tutorial at the beginning of the game every time.
- Not a lot of upgrades for units wish to see more
- when you recycle something it says enemy destroyed it.
The game keeps freezing when at the press start screen and I press start. The only thing I found that works is restarting it a couple times of turning off my Xbox.

Just keep quiting the game and reopening it
Also when I was playing I feel like when you go through the menu in game (for bases and buildings)
It is not smooth hopefully that will get ironed out.
I can’t even connect to the game servers, how are you doing this you witchcraft practitioners.
I have Gold (the little 14-day trial that comes with xbox one) and it says connecting to servers, but then say ‘could not join that party’ no matter what I do. Please help I want to play!
Bug reports (played four games so far):

The animation of the fight is missing. So my troops will attack enemy troops, and I can HEAR the attack happening, but I don’t really see it on screen. Instead, my troops will turn black and disappear and enemy troops will do the same. So basically the fight is occurring, but I’m not really seeing it, if that makes sense. Am I the only one with this issue? The video from E3 shows animations are working fine.

The fog of war effect seems off in that I’m often attacked by units I can’t see (and not cloaked units). I played one match where it was clear my troops were fighting enemy troops, but I could only make out one or two – and there were clearly more behind them, still within the fog yet within firing range.
A failed beta launch at least they did a beta this time. Played one game took about four hours I doubt I can get to five games even played for the gold packs let alone with they would note the experience for mainly looks 80% or more who keep freezing or can’t play then of course we would not want this game. Please fix this or a simple update or any work arounds ? Anyone?
