I was about to say like calm down to him. He literally can’t wait a couple of hours. All I had to do was continue restarting the game until it worked
The beta crashes on startup almost every time I try to open it. Not sure what’s going on there. However, once I do manage to get in, everything seems to run smoothly!
Okay, so quick game critique… So biggest thing so far I have noticed is the (waiting for players message at vs game stt) I’m literally frozen with that message as the game is going on. I can’t play, press start to exit nothing… So that’s a huge issue… I can see the starting image of my base, the radar, the timer, and everyone’s actions, yet everyone else is in game but me. That’s messed up.
Next, graphics are in need of some working… Effects of blasts, weapon fire, movement… It halo wars 1 was better by far with effects and graphics.
Notifications need to be more prominent when something is complete or researched. It’s near impossible to tell if you upgraded something or completed a building.
needs some major fine tuning guys… Just being honest.
Since no one is actually posting bug errors I guess I will. I have repeated instances of freezing on the tutorial and any attempt at speed skipping it isn’t working. As mentioned though, waiting for the game to load for a few minutes definitely eases the process. In game move commands don’t always show feed back as to where I clicked. Unit attack animations don’t always fire, but healthbars are still reacting accordingly at the least. The local units button is slightly less reactive when I hit it and the all units button doesn’t seem to be working 
Other than that I am very impressed and can’t wait for a finished product!
The home screen lags win I try to sign in and freezes on the tutorial screen and im forced to back out and quite and try agian until I get lucky, pls fix this
Game won’t get past “press start” menu screen. It gets stuck on a title page, or a config/restart modal pops up. Haven’t been able to actually play yet.

I downloaded the beta on my Xbox One yesterday. So far I was not able to play for several reasons:
The game always gets stuck after the profile selection regardless whether I proceed with the menu button or pressing ‘X’ and then selecting my profile.
sometimes after pressing ‘A’ after the Beta splash screen I just get a dark screen with music playing.
i never get past the “downloading configuration data” screen. There the “B” logo is often replaced by the code tag “@B_Button@” followed by the word “SKIP”.
at that point the game hangs.
i have deleted the profile data and the reserved space but the results are the same at the next start.
During a game it froze then said defeat. On the next screen it said that we was victorious. Both teams still had health left.
I was freezing on startup, at the Halo Wars 2 logo like many of you. To fix this issue, I changed my console’s location in settings from United Kingdom to United States and selected restart from the same menu. I had previously set it to UK to fix a voice chat issue. Hope this info helps somebody.
Hey guys. I downloaded the beta yesterday immediately as it went live. I STILL have not been able to get into a game. The biggest problem is the game freezing when I press start or it freezes once tutorial has finished. I uninstalled and redownloaded, to no avail. I wish I had actual “in game” bugs to report, but the fact is the game just isnt working for me. I will keep trying though!
Am I the only one who has sudden Texture Drops during a match. I can’t see the units shooting, but I can see the health bars dropping… I also could not see the MAC Cannon firing as well as any of the the Atriox’s commander abilities.
So far my experience with Halo Wars 2 hasn’t been all that bad. As of now I have played 3 games and have noticed some things that are good and some I find to be a bit buggy.
Some good things I like are the way the Hud is set up with the mini map being easily visible in the bottom right as well as the various supplies you can see next to it. Another positive is the number of different units that are featured in this game, I personally feel like it gives the game more depth and makes fights a little more tactical.
Some of the negatives I have seen would include the loading up of halo wars, it seems this is heavily reported by players as it constantly freezes, something I have noticed is that if you give it about 20 seconds it works fine. Another problem/bug would be when you garrison a squad of marines in a tower they all gather up as if one entity and it looks rather odd. A third problem, which is more to do with my feel for the game is the movement is feels rough and kind of clunky when telling units to move about. Finally my last negative is that the effects of the game e.g. gunfire is a little slow with both animation and sound, sometimes it just doesn’t do anything when attacking.
Overall however, I do recognise this is a beta and with it come some issues so I am still pleased to say I am enjoying the game so far and can’t wait to order the final product

i know its a beta and all but it keeps freezeing after i press the start button
the Home screen freezes, automatic restart, must fix, improve load time items
we need more suspenseful music in games .

Stuck with a “waiting for players” 2 minutes into the game. Ally is already capturing bases and upgrading units.
