I was dealing with the freezing after the title screen. I let it sit on that for a few minutes, hit the menu button (Start) and it went fine.
Also, keep in mind that this is a beta in the truest sense. It’s not a promotional beta or a beta to load test the servers. It’s a code testing beta. There will be issues.

Game keeps freezing at halo wars 2 logo during tutorial.
Please I urge you to extend this beta, it keeps freezing on me and sounds like its happening to a lot of other people as well. I have tried some of the solutions posted in the forums but none have worked for me yet. Again I urge you to either extend the beta or get it working as soon as possible, I literally haven’t been able to play at all today because of this freezing nonsense.
It won’t let me pass the opening “thank you for participation” message I’m pressing "A to continue but it dose nothing. I can hear music and everything. My Xbox isn’t frozen. I’m what the deal is. Can’t play it 
Needs somthing besides Domination, would rather play old hw than this domination mode. Lots of lag but to be honest it’s expected. If your red your SOL, map favors one side to much for Dom mode would of rather had elimination type game play. Games not bad though once you get the controls down.

Same the MAC dosnt do anything

I have downloaded the beta and watched the tutorial cut seen, but now as I select “Halo Wars 2 Beta” on the playlist menu it says - “The connection to the online services has been lost” every time I try to play. (I’ll keep trying, restarting the app etc).

Restart the game a few times
It was happening to me. I finally got through
Ur beta is bugger then a spiders -Yoink!- please fix so i can play the game ive waited 7 years for and extened the beta time or no preorder from me bb
Yeah my game won’t even start. It goes to the thank you for your participation screen right after loading, pops up the press a to start button, but nothing happens when I press A
Sometimes the screen will freeze when entering into a match and when it says “Waiting for players”.
Just had an issue. We were winning and had ABCD controlled. Match randomly ended and somehow we lost
also. I had a time where I was not able to select my character at all. It went from playlist menu, I saw the timers above the lobby list in. The right side, that when from choose character in timer, then match start time. Then the match started to load.
Beta has has been a blast and I have enjoyed every bit of it
Had to restart the game by force closing it after downloading the “latest update”
Game froze immediately after pressing start at the main menu on my second boot… (This is happening just after the 343i logo and Creating assembly logo plays and I try to press start to begin)
UPDATE: The game continues to freeze at the main menu, not allowing me to play… I’m attempting to hard reset my Xbox One.
UPDATE 2: Hard reset did nothing, game still freezes at the exact same point everytime.
