This worked for me. The game still has to make it to the point where you can press B though. Sometimes it freezes right before B is available.
I found a bug, when ground units are shooting air units the animation isn’t there, they don’t aim up to the sky’s,they rather just shoot forward directly in front of them
I’m seeing a lot of crash reports on here and I too am having trouble. That being said, I somehow made it into a multiplayer game on one of my attempts and it seemed like I was the only person stuck on “waiting for players,” while I noticed the mini-map in the background depicted enemy troop movement (so I guess some people are actually able to play…).
I have Found 2 bugs not sure if they have been reported.

If you accept a request before you are done with the tutorial video it will not stop loading.

Every once in awhile it will disconnect you for no reason not sure what triggers it.

Yeah everybody knows this is a beta but the beta should be functional past the first title screen. We can’t even see the gameplay and see where real issues lie because so far this is a disaster.
mash skip at the start of the tutorial it helps prevent crashes

And i crash every time … One time just after “Thank you for your participation in this beta”, next time on the home page, next time just at the begining of the tutorial cinématic …
It was very Yoinking! … and frustrating.
What can i do ??
as soon as I load into the match. I can’t even play do to the fact it is saying waiting for players but my friend is playing the match without me. leaving him in a 1 v 2 match.
Having issues with Halo Wars 2 after the main screen. I assume it is a cut screen that suppose to be playing since it says B to skip. It freezes here each time. It took me 4 hours to download due to the load and I don’t want to reinstall it. Is there anything I can do to get past this screen? Also I am in the preview program for Xbox One, I hope this doesn’t have anything to do with the game not working.

thats why they have a beta 8 months be for launch. Please simmer down this is a support thread.
the command registration seems to not be off and at times the firing animation of air vehicles do not exist
All I ask is please put an actual war mode, not domination and put in 1v1. Having my teammate leave at the beginning of the match every match is getting annoying.
Game crashed about 8 minutes in. I stuck with it for a minute to see if it cleared up. I had selected my units and was moving toward point A when it crashed. I should have used the Xbox feedback mechanism & will next time.

Could be a game crash. Unlikely they leave at the start of the match.
The game has a 65% chance (randomly guessed) tendency to lock up and freeze, forcing me to reload the game.
I have to pray the opening sequence plays out
(Main Menu), and the Tutorial.

Why domination as the game type? Death match is more fun…the games on this last 10 mins so there’s not enough time to be patient. Rushing is all you can do. The freezing you get when pressing start at the main menu, the GTA-like loading screens (taking forever to load), sometimes as you get into a game it has the “waiting for other players” message so you can’t do anything but watch…even though you can clearly see your ally playing the game, all of this would’ve been more worth it if the games lasted more than 10 minutes and it didn’t take 10minutes to load the map in the first place.
Don’t confuse the rant for disliking the game, I think it’s good so far and looks like it could be better than the original Halo Wars but, with these bugs, some causing me to restart the game a few times before I can even search for a game.
Please put death match in instead of/ as well as domination and squash the annoying bugs.
