I have the same issue.
Won’t go past the press A to start screen, freezes on black screen every time.
I have played 4 games so far. Games 1 and 2 were good, everyone connected and it was an even fight. Game 3 i was stuck on a screen saying “waiting for other players” the entire game. I sat back and watched my teammate win the game on the mini-map, while I and a player on the other team were incapable of action. Game 4 was going to be the best game, everyone was in and it was a really close game. at 500 tickets to the enemy team losing to our 1000 (give or take), I engaged a fight with the spartan unit by hijacking an enemy scorpion unit, and at the moment of impact, It came up the defeat screen for me. For the other players, the game continued and all my units were destroyed in a self destruct type way (as if i resigned which I did not). After that, it said I had still only played 3 games. So in short, It seems like the servers are struggling, and I’d hope to see these problems/bugs gone asap.

Same issue as well.
OK, if you’re freezing on the main menu wheb you press start, I recommend letting the screen sit for a bit, 30secs. I did this an its working.
Game freezes and locks up entirely where the tutorial video should be. The screen shows the game title and “B SKIP” but it is stuck.
UI: The control scheme in the options menu says the Command Tree is bound to B, while the line points to the back button.
UI: The game will constantly freeze trying to load the intro cinematic, only way to circumvent is spamming B immediately after pressing Start on the main screen.
So far that’s it for me.

Same seems like a common thing hope they fix it and extend the beta so all players get a chance
Joined a game with a buddy of mine and it put a blur bar across my screen that just said waiting for players but my friend and the two opponents had been playing for a while already. Stayed like that until the end of the game and still counted against us.
The game freezes for me on the title screen, I can sometimes get past the B button but then it just freezes again.
UI: The options will sometimes become unresponsive. Pressing B and then entering it seems to fix it temporarily.
UI: Sometimes the option description will fail to load, and be replaced by the lorem ipsum.

Same here.
Pressing B to skip actually doesn’t skip, but instead freezes the game.
I can’t play, i get stuck in a black screen after pressing de menu button.

Yep this happened to me as well. But it was a fresh game and all players were in, but it still said ‘waiting for players’ until we all quit.
I can only get as far as the main menu, the one with profile selection at the bottom right. after that i get a black screen
I was having trouble with my Xbox freezing after the “configuration updated,” and all I had to do to fix it was power cycle my Xbox by holding down the power button on the console.
