Multiplayer Bans

Alright,

This topic needs to be addressed and I’m sure it’s been addressed in the past, but this is ridiculous. I play Halo 5 on a regular basis and I usually only play arena playlists. Now I load into a game and I might just not be playing well or my team is getting dominated by over 15 kills so I decide to leave. And that is the only chance I get to leave before I get banned. A couple of games later I load into a ranked game of Slayer and it loads in as a 2v4. Why would I ever want to play a 2v4 where I know we are going to lose? There is no point. So I left the game and as a result I got banned for an hour. An ENTIRE HOUR. This is completely ridiculous. I come on to halo to play ranked and rank up. But instead Halo 5’s matchmaking thinks it’s fair to start a game with only 2 people on one team and 4 on the other and either you are forced to sit through the 50 kills of the game or you quit out and face a ban that completely ruins the experience of playing the game. After I get banned I just stop playing the game for the day, there is literally no point in trying to play the game any longer because of this garbage matchmaking rule. And just because I got banned from arena doesn’t mean I want to go play Warzone where you’ll get matched against a full team of Warzone sweats who farm spawns for the entire game until everyone quits out. How is that a good solution? First off matchmaking shouldn’t be able to start games that leave a team at a disadvantage. Secondly, there should not be a one hour ban for wanting to play halo and actually enjoy yourself, not play a 2v4 and get dominated the entire game. I just don’t understand why this is thought to be a good functioning matchmaking system, it just does not make sense to me. Someone explain to me why the developers at 343 think I should get banned for an entire hour because I don’t want to sit in a game and get farmed the entire time, because their broken matchmaking system put me into a game at a huge disadvantage.

There is sometimes a one game delay for bans, so you are getting banned for what you did in the match prior to your 2v4 example. As far as I’m aware, you are able to leave 2v4 matches with the only penalty being a CSR loss.

I also had a look at your service record. You have left multiple times in a row on at least two days recently, so it’s not really true that you leave only one time before getting banned.

The ban hammer is very lenient if you wouldn’t quit so much, like just because you are losing, you could probably quit the 2v4 game and not get a ban. Players who get bans definitely earned them IMO because I have quit and even been disconnected from time to time and haven’t received a ban in years…why because I make sure to complete the majority of my games even when being curb stomped by a better team.
