I think 343 should try a new approach to the classic Red v Blue. Many games with PvP multiplayer find ways to allow players to use the custom armour and colours and Halo has never really managed to make this work. In fact, Halo 5 went backwards removing any personalisation by even removing secondary armour colours (aside from those made permanent from skins).
Thoughts?
Red vs Blue is so iconic and important to Halo.
I don’t think it would be possible to change this without invoking an enormous uproar from the community.
I could see something like changing the colour of the lights and visor on your armor being a possible way to express yourself, but RvB has to stay.

So, people are angry about lack of customisation but are completely fine for the game to override your colours- arguably what distinguished you the most for most armours we have in Halo 4 and 5 as they all have similar to identical profiles, for the sake of it being ‘iconic’?
The community needs to figure out what it actually wants.

The only thing the community is displeased about is the armour customisation itself, not the colour of the armour. Just being able to select helmet and body armour was a huge stepdown.

People aren’t angry about the lack of color customization. They’re mad about the lack of armor customization. They want to be able to customize the individual pieces of their armor like in Reach.
Halo would not be the same without red vs blue. I can say with 100% certainty that Halo infinite will include Red vs Blue team based gamemodes.
While I think it would be need to have the option to disable forced team colors in custom games, I think Red vs Blue should be the norm for most modes in Halo Infinite.
I wouldn’t change Red vs Blue if given the choice. To me, those color matchups are iconic and indicative of real Halo.

Couldn’t agree more
As long as it’s not the agonizingly bright red and blues we have now and instead the significantly duller and darker reds and blues we had in Reach, I’m good with R&B.
Seriously, I absolutely loathe the team colors being bright and sparkly or pastel.
Hopefully they add a Pink Team like back on Reach.

Reach’s team colors were awesome.
