Multiplayer and AI voices cringy/annoying

Anyone else find the multiplayer voices and your AI’s voice and lines to be annoying and sometimes cringy? Theres a few lines that will outright take me out of the game for a second with how cringe they are.

If there’s an option to mute those voices, that’d be nice for those who share your opinion. I find the AI to be helpful and at times amusing, Spartan callouts like “Over Yonder” are meme material though lmao

Personally,

I like the Ai

We can turn spartan chatter off too.

Aye, an option to mute AI voices/multiplayer voices would be nice but considering that they’re a piece of monetization that has been marketed, it may be a bit counter-intuitive to introduce a mechanic to only having it be disabled.

Similar to have coatings only for it to be disabled for Red vs blue, of course AI voices are not to the same extent.

For sure. I personally love the AI, alot.

I think its a pretty cool concept, i get what you mean though.

Yeah I don’t like the AI voice. It’s extremely annoying and most of the time its saying things I don’t care to hear or don’t need to hear. Battle Rifle accquired! Gee thanks. I read the prompt and chose to press the button. You don’t need to comment on that- I already know which gun I picked up. While there is a toggle for spartan chatter, it doesn’t seem to work? I still hear alot of random babbling coming from other players. I don’t care that you picked up the drop wall.

For the AI voice I would like the option to toggle how often the AI speaks. For instance, it would be nice to tone it down to important calls only, like weapons spawns and objectives. It would also be nice to completely turn it off. I never liked the extra chatter that was introduced in Halo 5 (and now continued in Infinite). I think the announcer should take care of the bulk of this.

That’s the idea of having lots of different AI. Hopefully you will find one that works for you.

The “over yonder” has to go. That is the most cringy thing to say in this game. Plus, it doesn’t even help you in direction at all. Halo 5 Spartans would at least give actual callouts. This makes a lot of the side chatter in this game pointless. If they are going to callout, it should be like, “enemy at nest”, or “sniper under the bridge”. Not “over yonder”…

if they arent going to completely let us disable the annoying voices, at least make the voice less annoying and expressive - its a miltary style game

I enjoy my A.I. voice. There’s an option for Spartan Chatter, maybe they’ll add an A.I. voice option for you, though it serves as a weapon timer too and not just praise.

Yeah I am not liking them to much. Hopefully we will have some customization options for that in the full game… I busted out laughing when I heard a call out as over yonder… Younder!!! Hahaha SMH…

I actually like the AI chatter. I don’t need to know I picked up a Battle Rifle though. Maybe make it an option to decrease AI chatter for those like me who don’t want to hear what weapon they picked up but do appreciate some praise? Some of the AI chatter is pretty hilarious.

Yeah, it’s not really my style. I just want to hear Jeff.
It’s a cool feature for those who want it, and the AI are a clever idea, so have that option like in Halo 5’s announcer thingy you can get where you can decide what you want to hear … let the player choose. Options are good.

My sound for the AI doesn’t work and other comments from Spartans too. It’s really weird without it and sounds not right at all.

“Condolence letters to enemy’s family has been sent.”

“Enemy potato - mashed.”

Need I say more? Sure a lot of the babbling is not helpful at all but some comments are absolute gold.

Definitely should get the Spartan call-out function to work, though. The idea is good but the way they went about it doesn’t benefit anyone. What in hell does “over yonder” even mean exactly? Front? Front left? Bit more to the right maybe? Oh. I’m dead. Bot was behind me all along.

Nah. The cringiest lines by far are “we’ve lost a teammate”, the delivery of the line sounds like it’s from some 15 year old kid or something. The other is “in my sights”. Why in the hell that’s helpful to hear at all is beyond me

“Cower behind this shield spartan”
Why is my ai belittling me?

I agree, I hope we can select voices of our own AI and disable hearing it from other player’s. I can see it working, but sometimes they really just don’t fit with the mood of the rest of the game.

Nowadays “military-style” has taken to mean “absolutely off-the-wall ridiculous, not taking self seriously”. Don’t want to sound like one of THOSE (you know who I mean) toxic fans, but I really kinda like it more when there are no random “over the top” callouts like in Halo CE - 5. Those belong solely in Team Fortress 2 and Overwatch.

Indeed some of the lines sound like their from a child pretending to deliver the line in what they perceive as “dark and edgy”. If you’re gonna do callouts, have them convey information that’s useful to the game. Not just random spurts of dialogue that loosely fit the situation
