Trying to log onto multi-player online. Have two accounts on x box one. Each profile can play multiplayer individually. But cannot add two players at once to play multi-player. The second profile shows as offline. Switched to other profile and the previous profile then shows offline. This issue just started 2/8/22. Early on 2/8/22 we were able to play two profiles on multi-player. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.
Wait, are you trying to do “couch co-op” from one Xbox?

Sorry, not sure what couch co-op is…let me try to rephrase. I want to have two people play on the same x box on multiplayer online. On 2/8, when attempting to add the second player to the fireteam, the second player appears offline…even when the second player is logged onto the x box. We can alternate profiles(first player with second player) and they will switch online status. Prior to 2/8 we had no issue. I hope this explanation is more clear. Any thoughts?

Split screen game play on one Xbox, whether online or offline is sometimes called “couch co-op”. It’s my understand that currently couch co-op is not supported in Halo Infinite. It is true that there was a “glitch” that allowed people to play in couch co-op, see Kotaku’s “Halo Infinite Glitch Allows For Campaign Couch Co-op” But it’s possible that around the first part of February 343 patched that hole to stop anyone from using the glitch.
It’s been reported that officially supported co-op should be coming to Halo Infinite later this year, see The Verge “Halo Infinite’s campaign co-op isn’t coming until May 2022 at the earliest”. But I’m not sure if that will just be limited to the campaign or also include multiplayer.

I could have swore I was able to sign in a Guest before, but maybe I was thinking of MCC. I tried adding a Guest to the Fireteam and it wouldn’t let me. So in any case, it seems it’s not supported right now.
That is what couch coop means. Two players, One Xbox. It only worked due to a glitch. The glitch was likely fixed if you can’t do it any longer.
