Multi-Color Visors? *Updated*

During the Halo 4 Weapon Sounds trailer, there are some close-ups on the new helmets along with their visors and some of the visors appear to feature multiple colors.

Example 1:

In this picture you can see your average gold visor until you start approaching the center of the visor which actually appears to be blue. I may be wrong about this one since the Railgun seems to emit blue light into the visor, but the second image might prove to be even better evidence.

Example 2:

This image features a Spartan utilizing mostly a blue visor but if you start looking towards the center of the helmet, you can see what appears to be green mixed into the visor.

Further Evidence:
In Example 1, a proposed theory was that the Railgun emitted blue light into the visor, well thanks to this image, this theory is now proven to be most likely untrue.

How could a Railgun emmit so much blue light when its display is yellow and its blue glow while it is not being fired is so dim? It can’t.

We might just see Multi-Color Visors in this game.

they should have all colors for visor colors

on example one, it could be from the rail gun.
as for the second one, can’t see it

I never noticed that. Thanks.

This is interesting. It’s a possibility, I’d love it to be reality. You might get the option to blend your primary and secondary armour colours. That’d be awesome.

Couldn’t really find better images of that specific frame, but if you’d like, go 0:27 or 0:28 in the trailer for a closer look.

Looks 51% true. It may be the armor skins overlapping.

> on example one, it could be from the rail gun.

The shade of blue on the visor matches the armor too perfectly.

Yeah, I think so.

Also, I’m all for more visor colors, and I love Multi Color visors/lenses they’re awesome.

Great find OP, at first I thought it might just be the colours blending but the yellow/blue sure looked like it was intentional. Maybe some new kind of 2 colour visor you unlock or maybe they just allow your armor colours to show in the visor or something along those lines ^^

sighs Those are just reflections. Visors have been known to be rather reflective in the past.

good.

Except Reach.

Past Halo games used “fake” reflections of static images; a player’s visor never reflected their own armor. Halo 4 seems to be the same story, seeing as a reflection at that angle would never produce a perfectly-smooth two-tone gradient; if the armor was being reflected, there’d be ridges, uneven shading, and irregularly-shaped color areas.

Visor color should be a normal color option and you should be able to choose 2 colors.

Example 1
Visor 1: Red
Visor 2: Purple

Example 2 (for solid visors)
Visor 1: Green
Visor 2: Green

You get the idea :stuck_out_tongue:

Fixed. And yeah, that’d be perfect implementation.

Like I stated in my analysis video, it looks like we can now have iridescent visor colours. There is no reason for the visors to be reflecting such drastically different colours unless they are iridescent.

Unless the visor was chrome, there is no reason for it to be showing two drastically different colours so vividly. A solid coloured yellow visor would not show off blue as much as the one in the video does.

Here I zoom in on one of the helmets and slow it down to show you the changing colour scheme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1XOB1QVdIM&t=7m33s

TLDR: I am 99% sure we can use iridescent (two-toned) visor colours.

Im not saying it’s an armor reflection. The glare of blue coming from the ordinance in the spartan’s hand could certainly eluminate portions of the spartan’s visor.

I’m for anything that will make shooting people in the head easier, but I highly doubt this multi colored visor theory.

Finally, the first legit fix I’ve ever seen in these forums!

as long as there is red like jorge and jun had in reach(that we didnt get) i will be happy

> they should have all colors for visor colors

The more the better
