Halo 5 is step in the right direction. The older halo games were dreadfully boring and missing anything that made them feel like anything other than dated. BUT there are many criticisms that need to be voiced so 343 needs to know that they are issues.
Preliminary issue: Why does Master Chief Collection not work? I have literally not been able to play this game except for a random game here and there that was tremendously laggy. 343 sold all of halo fans a brick for 60 bucks a piece and everyone is going to quickly forget about it since Halo 5 is coming soon.

Ledge grabbing. This is an awesome feature, titanfall/crysis, in nature and was desperately needed to add flavor and tactics to the game. BUT, it hardly works maybe 40% of the time and is poorly mapped on many ledges. It needs to be worked on a good amount.

The pistol… it seems like it’s worse at midrange battles than the assault riffle and definitely the SMG. It doesn’t have any purpose unless you’re out of ammo with everything else… which will never happen. I noticed its reticule doesn’t change red (for additional autoaim) unless they are super close, at the range in which the AR and SMG are vastly superior than the pistol.

The Spartans speech. Why do they sound like 12 year old gamers? Why are they using gamer terminology? Its ridiculous. I understand having them speak adds more immersion… but having them speak like that is just dumb. Adding voices to the Spartans and having them speech was a FANTASTIC idea. BUT, they need to speak like engineered war machines, not 12 year old kids sitting on their moms couch. “Stop nade spamming!” “Snipes will in this for us!” Oh god, I’m going to vomit just thinking that the development team though adding this was a good idea…

The celebration at the end of the match… WTF? The only thing that comes to my mind is dance off movies and the team had just “served” their opponents. More 12 year old children mentality here. Maybe have the Spartans look serious, as if t hey had just bested an opponent that was about to wipe them out. Have the Spartans look upon the battlefield/landscape at their fallen enemies. Not this garbage route that 343 has taken with this. They might as well add some lines too it at this point “Right on dude!” We owned those noobs!" and more garbage like that.
