ever since i got the game this Christmas it has taken 10-20mins for me to join a 5min match and im just sick of it. does anyone have a solution or have the same problem

Nope, this game is still broken. Has been since 2014. All of the players abandoned the MCC for Halo 5, because Halo 5 works. 343i has abandoned the MCC.
playing infectin all night lastnight I noticed having atleast 1 other player in your lobby appears to speed it up alot also if the searching for players prompt doesnt change within like 20 seconds restarting the search seems to help

Yes it is, and yes they did. There are still many active players, but you wouldn’t know it with the broken matchmaking. Its more a testament to bungie that people still play…
I have 125mbps down and 75 up (business connection) with open NAT. And I’ve been searching in the Halo 1 classic playlist for 40+ minutes now. Its not like I’m sitting idle… I’m reading a book about Rome. I was thinking about making a youtube video but 343 obviously doesn’t care to support this game so why bother
My solution is to wait 3 minutes. If it is stuck on “Searching for players”, I leave it and I keep doing this until I do it for the 5th time. If it doesn’t work, quit TMCC and try again. If it still doesn’t work, hard resetting your Xbox shall do.
If it still doesn’t work, probably Xbox Live is down.

wow… so you wait 15 mins without playing a match and then you restart the game and then the console… i would have switched to another game…
your patience is really impressiv
i once thought of giving H5 another try, but then i said: i won’t reward 343 by playing H5, if the MCC doesn’t work.
It takes me about 20 minutes just to find a game. They seriously need to fix MCC, it’s been broken since it’s release back in 2014, they did fix it for awhile, but it went back to being broken.

H5 sucks horribly bad. Im trying so hard to like it since its the new Halo and everyone left MCC, but i just cant. I want a real Halo game.
