Just wondering, can somebody please explain these codes to me? Like the entire concept please. Sorry, I’ve been gone from the forums for a long time and haven’t been keeping updated on info.

Don’t do this.
Buy your products and receive codes legitimately.
The concept is this, you buy a product from Mountain Dew or Doritos and they come with the code. The code does two things, it gives you X amount of double XP matches for Halo 4 and gives you 1 prize entry to win things like a Halo 4 Controller, Xbox, Art, etc.
20 Ounce bottle of Mountain Dew - 3 Double XP matches
12 Pack of Mountain Dew cans - 6 Double XP matches
24 Pack of Mountain Dew cans - 12 Double XP matches
2.75 Ounce bag of Doritos - 3 Double XP matches
3.375 Ounce bag of Doritos - 3 Double XP matches
11.5 Ounce bag of Doritos - 12 Double XP matches

That isn’t talking about codes that’s talking about the contest itself. Even still, it’s immoral to steal another person’s code.

Mike, how would you like it if I took your codes from you? Or if you went to redeem a code, and it comes back as already redeemed?
It’s not a matter of what the rules say, it’s a stupid move of PepsiCo to put the codes on the bags and not cover them, and it’s a -Yoinking!- -Yoink!- move of you to go and take codes from other people. Thus you’re cheating the system.
The site says enter doritos codes on a non-mobile device.
-
What happens if you enter a doritos code on your mobile device? It wont accept it?
-
You can enter dew codes on your mobile device, just not doritos codes?
-
You can enter doritos codes and dew codes on your xbox internet explorer app correct? Or is that considered a mobile device?

Let’s not twist the rules to suit our own desires. When they say “No Purchase Necessary” you know as well as I do that they aren’t intending for people to steal and take pictures of codes without buying the chips. In fact, they’re very specific about what the NPN means. You even PM’d it to me.
From the DewXP TOS:
> <mark>NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: To receive one (1) free game piece and a copy of these Official Rules, while supplies last, send your name and complete address postmarked on or before January 16, 2013 to</mark>: DewXP Promotion, PO Box 760012, El Paso, TX 88576-0012. Limit one (1) free game piece request per hand-addressed stamped outer envelope. No photocopies or mechanically reproduced requests will be accepted. Sponsors assume no liability for lost, late, stolen, illegible, incomplete, misdirected, mutilated or postage-due mail or requests.
THAT is what “No Purchase Necessary” means. Not some distorted and twisted version that you are using to meet your own needs.
I just heard that Doritos codes can be used twice. Only one per account though.
Why don’t they just put the codes inside the Doritos bag? Problem solved! They do it with cases and bottles of Mountain Dew. If they can’t print it directly on the inside of the bag for health reasons or maybe to make sure the codes are not ripped upon opening, they could put codes on pieces of paper to insert in the bags. Cracker Jacks have done this with their “prizes” for years. Perhaps there is a reason I am not aware of for them not doing this but it seems as if there is a better way to do this.

Doritos probably wouldn’t be willing to add an extra step in the assembly line even though they could obviously afford it.
They shoulda had a slip put in Doritos bags with the code one them, and a few select bags will have higher value codes.
I think if your code doesn’t work, you can send it to them and they will replace it for you.
> They shoulda had a slip put in Doritos bags with the code one them, and a few select bags will have higher value codes.
This would have been a much better idea then how they went about it.
there are people on here who already have 200 matches logged or so they say. Sad that things like a progression rank mean so much to them…
I have 9 matches logged and I wasn’t even going to participate in it.
Keep it clean guys play by the rules
will the codes for the 11 0z doritos be on the outside?
> will the codes for the 11 0z doritos be on the outside?
they all are. I havent sen any out yet in my town minus the mtn dew.
Well basically you but the products and input the codes and you get so many matches depending on what you bought. 24 case of dew is worth 12 matches for double xp. You can also enter a contest to win some stuff. Say you buy one case of dew or doritos thats one point to enter to try and win lets say the Halo 4 console.
