I logged in to H5 today and one of the messages of the day said they, for the first time, put HCS weapon skins in the in-game REQ store. I was super psyched, since I could finally get these skins without paying real money. Then I went into the REQ store and discovered that they just put the packs there, and they still cost real money! This is not worth an announcement, unless you’re too lazy to go all the way to the Xbox store to buy them. All you did was raise false hopes.
They didn’t raise false hope. They are never going to make them available with req points, and already said that, because the money goes toward supporting the HCS and the players.

That isn’t unlucky. That is just how the HCS packs work. The reason they cost money is to support HCS and the pro players.

HCS packs will never be free cus part of that money goes to the team. However i wish they had more than just two weapon skins in those packs.

They do have more than two skins in them. On top of the two you’re guaranteed you also get two or three other cosmetic items and I think some Arena boosts, but don’t quote me on the boosts, it’s been a while since I’ve bought one of those HCS packs

They added that and other skins back…your telling me paying 10 dollars for 2 weapon skins isn’t a cash grab? just saying weapon skins and buying in a sentence involving halo just bothers me so much

Why would you ever think these packs would go for req points? The whole point of the skins is to show your support to your favorite HCS team. And the way req points work its random. So, that wouldn’t work at all. Also, seeing as the packs were released too support the pro’s and the HCS.

Do you still get the stalwarth (probably spelled wrong) armor? I wanted to buy the pack and also get the blue ar and br skins because those are the 2 I don’t have but I don’t think I will if it gives you armor.
As 343 is a company, the competitive teams technically are too. Here is an analogy, If you were to promote your clothing in a retail store, I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t want the funds the customer pays to be in a non-fictional currency would you? Companies such as Team EnVyUs, CLG, EG need to profit off advertising just as companies do outside of video games, It’s really not that hard to understand how business works.
