We need the Halo 3 Believe ad campaign for this speculation haha.
Not to pour cold business water on the excitement, but staying silent and allowing speculation to flourish helps drive eyeballs to the Xbox 20th Anniversary event that day. Everything about Halo is ultimately about MS > Xbox > Game Pass Ultimate, in that order.
…But I would not be opposed to them warming this cold jaded heart of mine with a surprise opening of the multiplayer doors! Can you imagine the goodwill and utter devotion reaped by 343i if they did it: the new Prophets of the Fandom Covenant.
@Bruce6571 No you do not need a Game Pass. Multiplayer is free to play to play, meaning you don’t even need a Xbox Live Gold account to play. Game Pass deal is for Halo Infinite’s campaign.
Flights are tied to the Xbox Insider & Infinite Insider apps on Console - the information from these API leaks is coming from the actual Halo Infinite & Halo Infinite MP store pages.
That essentially eliminates the idea that this is a upcoming flight.
There were some interesting updates on this yesterday evening. One of the original posters of this MP launch on Monday back peddled a bit - saying it’s now coming in November “at some point” and not Monday.
There’s certainly something going on but I wouldn’t set expectations that MP will drop early because if it doesn’t then people will just be outstayed and complain they were promised this and that etc.
As far as I’m concerned, the game launches on December 8th. Until something official says otherwise I wouldn’t believe the hype.
I’ve seen a bunch of evidence that suggests an MP release for this Monday. Now… I’m not gonna fully believe that it’ll happen, but im prepared to see if it will or not.
Its unlikely
They haven’t even announced that the game has gone gold yet
While I understand that some games (like apex legends) just launch without any kind of previous warning its a bit strange to not have confirmation that the game is ready for mass production yet
Consider, Ark released a long time ago in an unfinished state. Players helped the makers of the game with their input so the makers could put out updates over time. I imagine that’s the only reason there would be an early release for MP. So they could fix bugs before the 8th. Otherwise no I think they’ll wait til the 8th to release it.
As of 18 hours ago, Natethehate2 posted this on Twitter. He wrote;
“Update: An 11th hour change has claimed the early rollout of Halo Infinite multiplayer.
Original plans were to have Halo Infinite Multiplayer available on Monday, Nov. 15; but, a delay will push it back a tad bit – still planned for November.”
So there we have it. IF those rumors of the 15th as multiplayer releases were true, then according to this insider, it is no longer.
Yeah, every time there is something like this 343 have always shut it down if it wasn’t true, even on the forums, cos for sure they are seeing all these threads.
