Not uncommon for the first weekend of a game to run a bit rough. Just wondering how well this multiplayer worked over the first weekend? Any servers issues, major lag, disconnects?
Thinking about renting or buying this by the end of the week on Thursday the 5th.
EDIT1: Overall conclusion after all the feedback is H5 launched very well with very few mp problems. Dedicated servers seem to be working quite well. Also fast match times.
EDIT2: I ended up finally buying the game yesterday.
I am from the EU and so far no problems at all.
No lag, no disconnects everything running butter smooth. Seems like 343 learned from their mistakes with the MCC.
Very good. Only had a small number of disconnects. A million times better than MCC’s launch, and a lot better than a lot of other games that have came out in recent time.
Wow this is EXCELLENT news. Thanks for the replies. I am getting more and more excited for this game. Just so glad to hear it was a million times better than TMCC. That is the only reason I did not purchase this at launch.
For me, matchmaking was very quick - seconds, in fact.
Only had JIP once, and it worked as expected.
Quitting is still an issue, but I hope it will smooth out over the next few weeks as players unlearn bad habits and the Banhammer continues to dole out rich creamy justice.

Seconds? Dang that is indeed very fast. Seems the dedicated servers are doing very well. As you said I think the quit ban might take a week or two before it starts taking effect. Will be interesting to see how well the quit ban works. I most likely will stick mainly with Warzone. That will allow some time for the other modes to work out the quitting issues.
I’ve been playing none stop because… The servers actually let me. Lol. The game has been working great and I’m enjoying it very much. The smooth gameplay with quick matches. Perfection.
The launch went so well, the complaints are focused on what we don’t have as far as fluff goes… Complaints about code and server issues are nearly nonexistent.
While many will see “the hate” and believe it was a bad launch… It’s really turning to be a great one for me.
(the new way the reticle moves isn’t broken, the “proof” is just the scientific findings into what is happening by design in all cases but 1).
Thanks again for the replies. Impressive to see that so far this entire thread contains replies of positive feedback about the H5 mp servers. That is beyond great news. Most likely I will be buying it this Thursday for the beginning of a week long lan party using some of my paid vacation.
Just so glad this launch went well. I was very skeptical after TMCC. Nice to see they had H5 dialed in very well and the servers are solid. Such a relief to hear that. Even happier to see that Warzone is working with few major issues.
