I remember 343 stating they were catering to PC players with the launch of Infinite, and here I am using mouse and keyboard and getting dumpstered on by people on controller. The lack of red reticle as useful feedback on m&kb is a terrible decision. I have absolutely not shot using the BR or Sidekick against someone on controller with that crazy aim assist.

i think they did it because of the “if this pixel is red, fire weapon” cheat.
a better solution to disabling this core gameplay element would be an anticheat script that looks for way too consistant and way too fast trigger pull speeds once the reticule turns red (a player that always hits after exactly 5ms is very obvious to an algorythm).
if the cheat is made slow enough and inconsistant enough to not register, it is irrelevant enough to not harm gameplay too much.
