So I just saw my first Mountain Dew commercial regarding Halo and EXP. Im sure
they have been running for a while but this is the first time I have come across it.
What a failure. No wonder the population has been on a steady decline. EXP is not what Halo used to be about. Why people try to continue to fix what is not broken is beyond me.

If you are going to call Halo 4 bad, could you do it over something relevant? The lack of custom game options perhaps? The poor story?

I’m sure the fact that they are using Mountain Dew for 2x XP makes the game bad right?

The game itself is not what I would call Bad. It has the possibility to be great.
But until they fix the ranking system and custom games and playlists the game will remain stagnant. There is nothing to play/work for in this game and its getting boring.

I know all about that but there are basically no details. And by the sound of it we will have to get on waypoint to view the rank which is asinine. With all the issues this game has Im not holding my breath for them to get this thing right. If this is the same Halo 4 by February I walk.

I never said it was the only reason. There are clearly many reasons. And Halo is at the top of many lists still IE Game informer gave it the best First person strategy / competitive game. Not sure how based on all the issues this game has.

Yeah so what? And I could care less about their opinion and especially in this case because of all the flaws this game has. Halo would clearly be the beast it was in the past if a few things were fixed.
Without a competitive ranking system this game is dead to me. I continue to play a few matches per day but it is incredibly boring, there is simply no challenge.

This thread is as funny to me as someone saying, “OMG I just found out Plasma Grenades stick to other players and vehicles! That’s stupid and is proof the developers will do anything to keep Halo alive!”

The game launched with this Dew XP feature. It doesn’t get more people to play Halo, it gets more people to buy Mtn Dew.

The first part of what you said is silly.
The second part is also silly in that its obvious that more people do not play Halo because of MD. Goes without saying. Its just simply another little bit of why Halo has fallen from grace. If you want to build up your EXP go play COD.
Now if they would keep the EXP for unlocking armor and such and add a Halo 2/3 ranking system this game would be incredibly better.
