i know elites in the lore have motion trackers that take the form of a kind of contact lens over their eyes, thats what i read and maybe brutes have them too but do both species use them in the games?
I wouldnt be suprised if Brutes would use their senses like smell to find enemys.
Its also most likely they dont pose this technology before the great schism.

then is it possible to sneak behind a brute without crouching and they dont notice u in the games? i dont remeber. same thing wtih elites. also do promeathens use motion trackers at all

Yeah, it is. Mind you games aren’t full canon.

Not sure balancing would let them. Ballistic weapons would basically be useless against a Spartan if that was the case.

In canon plasma rifles can melt tank armor like butter, bullets bounce off Spartan armor, and promethean knights would be god tier enemies with god tier armor and the only thing stronger than that is plot armor.

Pretty much any of the older books. Chief stands in front of three .30 caliber machine guns and the rounds just bounce off his MK V. Linda died to a single plasma shot to her unarmored torso, and Knights single-handedly destroyed billions of Flood forms without the loss of a single unit of their own.

There is no exceptions in lore!..well except for contradicting canon that has no explanation.
Anyways here’s an excerpt from Halopedia: “The lethality of the Type-25 Directed Energy Rifle is extreme. Injuries inflicted to a victim are severe third-degree burns, this type of injury destroys the outer layer of skin and the entire layer beneath; the wound is cauterized instantly upon impact. Body fluids would be subjected to flash vaporization, inducing a strain or a shock on the body after impact, fluids trapped in organs or arteries in addition to the rapid expansion of heat would cause ruptures or small explosions causing additional damage to the target. At close range two bursts from the Type-25 DER have enough thermal transfer and kinetic energy to pass through victims with ease, close-range impacts can also cause dismemberment of limbs. Near-misses can also cause injury to the target, as they produce severe burns to the area they pass; this can also cause heat trauma or heat stroke from the extreme temperatures of the bolt. Should the plasma impact an object, the impact can cause splash damage creating debris, both non-heated and heated, that may come into contact with a target, with a crippling or lethal effect. Generally two hits from a plasma rifle will kill a light-armored or unarmored target.”

butt tanks arent light armor and I’m sure they are talking about against objects in general

This is just an example of how strong the weapons are in canon vs gameplay. Getting two shotted by a plasma rifle is crazy. And Halopedia has lots but not all the nitty gritty details and just because an armor is strong doesn’t mean it can’t be melted, in fact that’s the once thing unsc ships are extremely vulnerable to.

Don’t even forget about the Type-50 Sniper Rifle System aKa the Beam Rifle. That thing is extremely lethal, with beams that travel over 3000 m/s (12 000 f/s), it has an extremely long range, near misses can cause third-degree burns… I mean… It’s just unreal. It makes me wonder if Master Chief would have really made it in real life.

Well he does have luck on his side remember.
