My only grief with this game is the motion sensor. i feel like the enemy is on top of you before you see them on the motion sensor. (exaggerating a little) but it really needs to be increased. every halo in the past had way more range on the motion sensor. they wanted to increase assasinations i get it but come on, the motion sensor is one of the best part about halo and its just trash in this game. whos with me?
You didn’t point out my reasons but I agree.
Guess that means you have to use your eyes more, check your corners, stay away from choke points.
This range forces people to move around the map to look for a fight. Ive found that there have been much fewer games decided by time limit this way

With faster mobility the range makes it even more crucial. I’ve been spartan charged from behind and never had the enemy appear on my radar.

I do that. A lot. Spartan chargers still come out of absolutely nowhere. Even if I scanned the entire room 2 seconds ago.
I feel like the real problem is when they are around the corner while you both are entering a room. You look behind you because you are checking your corners and looking around. Boom! The enemy was one second behind you entering that sane room and gets the drop and more than likely kills you. Has this become COD style where whoever sees who first wins?

I feel the same way. i have also been spartan charged without the enemy ever showing up on my radar. i even feel like your teamates range is greater than the enemys range on the motion sensor. it says your range is 18 meters but it feels more like 3 meters
Solving a problem with another problem isn’t the best route.

I’d say it’s more like 5 meters, lol. In the underwater map, I was in the entrance of the the blue room which overlooks bottom middle where invis is. I posted up there for a few seconds expecting enemies to rush the camo when I noticed bullets flying right next to me. I checked my radar, nothing. I turn to look and there’s an enemy standing right at the light rifle spawn shooting across the map. He never showed on my radar. I got the drop and won that 1v1. If you know what I’m talking about you’ll know we were within -Yoink!- range from each other.

I feel BTB range works good. Maybe 22m-25m. I think most people won’t want it more than 25 and I think 22-25 is a good range everyone can live with.
The range needs to be 22m minimum.

While an increased radar may help you be more aware of who’s around you, it also brings in its own set of problems. The only playlist that would benefit from an increased radar is FFA.

uhhh… whaaat. There is only one problem here sir. what is this “another problem” you speak of

Radar is a gameplay crutch, and can be abused. It promotes cat and mouse engagements between players of similar skill.
Yeah, this is something I have realized too. When I look at my motion sensor, the range is so small that when an enemy is on it, it doesn’t matter because I can already see them. Back in the other Halo’s I could know where another player is coming from before I can see them myself. Also the arrow was a better way to determine if there’s an enemy above or below me.

Lol stop being stubborn seriously. That’s like as if in Halo 3 they just turned every playlist into MLG and said oh I guess everybody else just has to deal with it and learn how to play without it. People who play this don’t all want to be “forced” to do anything. We want to do what we want and enjoy the freedoms of the game, not the limitations.
If that’s the case then just take it off. But don’t put one on that’s completely useless. Literally if someone is sprinting at you (I don’t have eyes in the back of my head so I can’t see them) it is impossible to utilize this radar. Oh and there are people who sprint too fyi.

I enjoy the 1v1s I’ve had where we both are aware of each other before hand. It’s like a chess game. He’ll do his preemptive moves and I’ll counter or vice versa. It doesn’t come down to luck like it seems to be coming down to now with this ridiculously short radar range.
Sorry sprint lovers…

Can you elaborate on “its own set of problems” i just dont understand how this would create any problems. it would only do what you said it would do and make players more aware of thier surroundings. which would be a good thing. FFA shouldnt have a motion sensor to begin with

Ya it’s another one of those things like aiming with this game where why change it if it’s not broken. If anything, because the movement speeds are faster in this game and larger maps I would imagine it would at least be equal to or greater than before.
