If you had 2-3 changes you wanted most in the upcoming patch, what would they be?
Mine are as follows.
- Fundamental change to teleport for all banished leaders - Bringing choppers and ghosts in line with jackrabbits to be true scout units - Making shields less effective for banished bases - BONUS: Make tier 2 units (vehicles/air) more effective across the boards.What key changes do you want to see changed in the upcoming balance update?
Make Johnson’s colossus and mantis viable.
Take away base choppers’ and ghosts’ guns and make those an upgrade much like the rabbit. Possible make shrapnel rounds, ghost shield, and support drone tier 2. Buff support drone back to its former glory.

I generally like your suggestions. Aside from what you indicated…
- Make anti air (T2 vehicle) more effective. It seems the best air deterrent is a giant group of grunts or marines. The banished air combo is incredibly difficult to combat.
- Make locusts viable when stationary but weaksauce if moving.
- Remove the stun from the jump pack brutes… they should either damage with their jump mines or stun, not both.
- Dial back on canister shell damage to direct counters… right now Isabel tanks are meat grinders.

If you take away the guns on the chopper and ghost then all your going to see is cutter slaughtering everyone in the early game. I agree that choppers need to be slightly nerfed but going that extreme with balance changes will have very bad side effects. Just look at what happened after kinsano got drastically nerfed.

I disagree with both of you.
The Jackrabbit is right where a scout unit should be. It is the other scout units that currently are too powerful and need to be brought down to the Jackrabbits glory of being simply a scout unit.

Sniper nerf is because he’s a banished main. Same with Blisterback buff.

Mostly because he feels like Banished need a larger advantage than they already have. Rangers also do not need a buff.

The Snipers are really annoying on early infantry rushes (overall with Cutter and sometimes with Johnson’s bunker rush) while the Blisterback feels almost the same of Kodiak sans the shoot rate, but is about twice the Kodiak’s price therefore is more expensive to lose, I’d be happy with a better line of sigh or a larger area effect.

Snipers cost 150 power and need to be micro’d (otherwise they are incredibly easy to kill. In any direct engagements they lose, so their only value is way in the back during an engagement.
The only difference being the rate of fire IS the justification for the price increase. Kodiaks need a buff, Blisterbacks do not. Blisterbacks also do more damage, and move faster/travel in the air.

If we are going to put things that way… You are UNSC main, and you want to bring the Banished scouts to the Jacrabbit level, which would give UNSC the edge on rush, since they could use Snipers to wipe out Suicide Grunts and scouts would no longer be an option. I agree Chopper needs a nerf but not to be brought where JR is, and I simply can’t find an issue with Ghosts…

Scout units are never just scout units in RTS games. They always serve a secondary role for light combat. From the attack bikes in in C&C to the warthogs in the first halo wars.
Can we start buffing things instead of nerfing things? ied rather not have a game full of potato guns… If you have no units and i come at ur base with 10+ of any units… marines/rabbits/choppers whatever… you should lose right there. Nerfing isnt the answer. Sick of these long games for no reason. So stupid.
Balances should be made for fairness, not for preference. Seems like a lot of people are posting things because “that’s what annoys them” in matches. Like “I like suicide grunts, so I’m annoyed that snipers can take care of them. Nerf snipers please.”…
So many people on here posting what they “prefer” the balances to be…
I think balances to bring UNSC scouts to = banished scouts would be fair. However, is that even possible? I don’t know. Also, Kodiaks should be on the same level as blisterbacks… You can’t suggest a buff to blisterbacks without suggesting a buff to Kodiaks (which are already weaker in general) and then expect people not to call you a “banished main”…
I do agree with the shield fix… AA needs to be more powerful against air. Kodiaks more effective against infantry… Johnson needs some changes especially colossus and mantis… Teleport needs some tweaking. Grizzlies need some sort of positive change…

Well that’s a given. Having a decently balanced game where potato gun nerfs aren’t required unless they are truly needed to bring something that is truly OP back into reality.
The only nerf I have suggested is bringing scout units - IE light vehicles built out of bases - be brought to where the JR is as it truly fills the role of a scout right now without having a super amazing offensive capability. They have always really been meant to be a scout unit with warthogs/marauders being your true light vehicles. Unfortunately tier 2 vehicles have been too weak to really fill that role of a main light vehicle to date.
At the same time, scout units have never been intended to be a dominating force akin to what Kinsanos JRs and Choppers currently are. Ghosts and Jackrabbits are close to what I think people want to see in a scout and instead of buffing said units, I think making scouts a weaker offensive unit like the JR currently is should be the goal. The game will still go fast, but until shields are addressed they sadly will get dragged on a bit.
