With the release of Infinite, obviously a lot of threads have been focusing on the negative. However, I think this is literally the most united the Halo community has been in a long time!
Previous contention:
Sprint vs. no sprint
PC vs Console
Aim Assist
Legacy vs Modern
BR vs AR starts
Etc.
I feel like for the most part 343 has actually brought us all closer. I absolutely love the gameplay, but I stand on the popular criticisms (micro transactions, lack of playlists/content etc.)
Look for the silver lining and it just feels great to hopefully see change and shaping the game in a great direction!
I disagree lol all the things you listed don’t seem as bad because basically the people got drowned out and ignored, by the more vocal and abusive halo fans.
Give people something that peeves them hard enough and they will direct all their energy towards it. It’s a damn shame that a lot of that is just loud noises.
I’m not so sure. I mean the gameplay isn’t perfect, but I think the overwhelming consensus is that people love the actual gameplay.
I know this is the most fun I’ve personally had playing Halo since H3/Reach.
I do agree that the extreme toxic posts are horrendous. I strongly believe that 343 didn’t have much say in the majority of what is being complained about and came from higher ups.
The most divisive thing about this halo is the kbm/ controller war. When watching the official tournaments on twitch the chat devolves into half the people arguing about kbm/ controller. Its annoying to see because it was never a discussion in previous Halo games since they didnt have crossplay and it takes away from discussion about the actual tournament gameplay on twitch.
