Most ridiculous moment in Halo multiplayer?

I’d just like to take a break from all of the Halo 4 criticism (which I’m a part of!) for a moment, and make a thread dedicated to every ridiculous moment ever experienced by you, the community, in Halo history.

I’d like everybody to share any ridiculous moment including (but not limited to) something in mathcmaking you experienced, that just left you thinking “I can’t believe that just happened.” It’s simple, just start off with which Halo game it was, which gametype it was, the circumstances, and then what happened in it.

Please keep it to specific moments. “I kept getting skyjacked one day!” is an example of what not to do. And please, whatever you do, remain civil. No “I got destroyed by a team of noob-tubing DMR users! Why hasn’t it been nerfed yet! Blaghrfgahfhaghahrh!” Just… Don’t, please.

I’ll go first: In Halo 4, Slayer, I was charging up a Laser, came around a corner, saw a BUNCH of enemy team members bunched together to melee somebody on my team, I guess, and, long story short, I got a Spartan Laser Triple kill against infantry only, inches away from killing a 4th (you can find it in my file share).

But I think the best moment I experienced under the “ridiculous” category was this one time in Halo 3, I was playing Big Team Splockets (keep that in mind) on Sand Trap.

I was driving along, saw a few unaware people gathered together, at which point I just said “screw it!”, drove straight at them, hit and killed the first guy, flipped over, and landed on top of another one. Did I mention I was in a Mongoose? I then proceeded to hop out of the Mongoose, and got a triple kill on a third guy with my rockets, at which point I was immediately betrayed by some idiot on my team, shooting rockets at us from across the map from the top of the cliff on the side of the map.

So, what’s your “most ridiculous” moment? Please, keep it clean.

that time I lasered a mongoose dead on, and it didn’t explode or give me the kill

The time I jumped off of abandon with the flag.

> The time I jumped off of abandon with the flag.

that time earlier today when I was 4-4 on simplex CTF, and the enemy flag was about, 1 meter from the cap

and my teammate picks it up and runs back towards their base the wrong way, I actually had to betray him to stop him, so we could win the game…

Playing about 10 games, and 8 of them are too laggy to play. To wonder why I haven’t played since January…

Its a shame some people just cant help but -Yoink- about halo 4.

I went into my first game and died by a power weapon that i had no chance to expect in any rational manner. Its happened every game since, except my 5 perfections.

The shame is you don’t expect more from a multi-million dollar franchise.

Cross-map sniping on Hemorrhage and a mongoose teammate pops up from a hill and takes the headshot intended for the enemy!!

Also, my first time on Halo 3 playing Splockets, walking up to and beating down a line of FOUR opponents, taking my sweet time about it too (I still can’t believe NONE of them knew I was there)facepalm

DBL POST. OT I love it when a target vanishes from sight, while I attempt to lead them with a plasma grenade, and get a blind stick.

343 did better than you, now keep it clean and on topic like the OP sead K?

The time that I spawned, looked to my left, and got hit by a boosting ghost driver via jump that went wrong lmao.

I went back OT, unfortunately you had to go be an -Yoink-. No idea how you can compare one person, to a full team of developers. Such a redundant statement. So, talk about being on topic, try doing the same, and not insulting someone…Sorry if my standards for playing a streamline game are higher than others.

When I first played Halo 4, being super excited to revisit a favorite series, then watching all flow get decimated by the DMR.

But to be real, one of the most ridiculous things that I was apart of was playing 5ish games in a row of Oddball without ever dropping the ball once we got it, ending 300-0 everytime.

An Extraction game on Daybreak that was tied 4-4, there was only one site…which happened to be the enemies base.
We got to it and tried to hold it like crazy, so many grenades from outside and the Banshee was trying to kill us all. We somehow managed to hold the site long enough.

Funny how I found this thread just as I uploaded this video!

I’ve had moments like that back in Halo 3. Pretty funny stuff. I think that falls into the “ridiculous” category.

Halo Reach on (the big team map on the island with the tanks made by bungie). My buddy was driving the warthog from our base as a banshee was chasing us. I was gunning at it and we killed it. Seconds later we pulled around the corner towards the enemy base, we accidentally hit a bump and ended up doing a full barrel role over the tank waiting for us. He missed us twice and we landed behind him. The whole while I was gunning at the tank. We kept going and as we pulled away just before I lost site I killed the tank.

Best moment in Halo of all time x10

Halo: Reach, Big Team CTF on Hemorrhage, Tie Game 3 am

I died mid field just in time to see the enemy team running by my corpse with our precious flag. I respawned at base, ran to the nearest Ghost, and boosted across the map with fierce determination.

I splattered both the flag runner and his escort as they hopped off of a Mongoose right in front of their own base. I then proceeded to kill everyone. I know this because I got a Running Riot and an Extermination medal.

Eventually my team caught up with me to capture the flag for the win.

Hmmm, I fell out of the map in Grifball. No wait, it disappeared!!!

Back in the halo 3 days me and a buddy of mine were playing split screen team slayer on Valhalla. It was a hard fought battle and our team of 4 was ahead by 2 kills.

Suddenly for no reason two of our teammates quit and it was just me and my friend vs a team of 4. We were ahead by 1 kill at that time so we decided to take the trolling route and hide. Im not sure how many people are familiar with it but if you grenade jump just right on the back of the valhalla bases you can jump up to a hidden area above the man cannon.

We did it successfully and let time run down as we saw them running around trying to find us desperately. Then with a mere 5 seconds left in the game we thought it would be funny to jump down on an unsuspecting enemy and kill him to end the game.

It turned out that the enemy had a shotgun and got a double kill on us to take the lead and win the game. with 5 seconds left. We were dumbfounded.
