Most recent update messed up aiming again

It feels like it did before the last update, where the crosshair just kind of jumps all over the place. My aim is not this bad. I was doing great for the last week, but now it’s gone to crap again.

The last update had nothing to do with the aiming mechanics of the game, they’ve been horrible since launch

I know, but the previous one supposedly fixed a bug with some controllers. What I’m saying is this NEW update seems to have undone that.

The aiming is fantastic.

AH I understand what you are saying, I mean you may be right 343i has a every bad habit of making their patch hot fixes break other things so its not outside of the realm of possibility

For me the aiming has been messed up since launch
The new aiming mechanic just throws me off completely

This post again?

I am muting you…

I noticed it myself. Before the update I was on point, then outa nowhere afterwards I cant hit a the broad side of a tree in the forest moon of endor. It just kinda jumps everywhere and gets super fast for no reason.

I started a topic about this right after it started. With no help from 343 or the pathetic community members who can’t tell the difference when aiming because they can’t… I figured out the problem is with the most recent update for the Xbox one controller. The new firmware is not translating well with the game.

i discovered this by bringing my brothers controller home and testing with his (he has never update and has an old controller that must be updated through a USB) and instantly my aiming was back to usual. I went to the store and bought a new controller and denied the update and I am playing great again. (Look at my last 3 games)

still no no word from 343 about how this aiming issue will be addressed.

Hang on a second here, the “pathetic community members” told you that the update on 24/11 itself didn’t have anything to with the aiming mechanics. A claim which you vehemently refuted
Now wether or not this update had an adverse effect on the mechanic and broke something else (343i have a habit of doing that) we won’t know, but myself and many others said the update itself did not address aiming and to our credit we were right as you found out for yourself that its actually a firmware problem
343i have nothing to do with controller firmware, Microsoft puts out those updates and apparently this one is reacting unfavorably with H5

If anything I would say us “pathetic community members” actually helped solve your problem since we were right
343i can’t do anything about this particular issue, Microsoft will have to push out another firmware update for the controller to fix it, and then 343i’s pet project you alluded to will give us full customisation of our controls and thank goodness for that because I can’t wait to go back to the beta aiming mechanism

Wrong

that doesn’t mean the update didn’t do something, because the change happened right after the last update. Also they neither confirmed nor denied that the last update involved aiming mechanics. It is obvious though that something changed for many people. The controller firmware definitely plays into the equation, if the update does or doesn’t remains debated. The point about some of the community members is there lack of belief because it isn’t happening to them, instead calling people like me noobs who obviously, according to hard stats, are a far superior player. I don’t talk out my -Yoink-, the aiming was changed for the worse.

So wait are you saying its the firmware update or are you saying it was the 24/11 update? I’m confused here
As I said it is possible that the 24/11 update may have broke something else in H5 (343 has done this a lot) the patch itself did not contain anything specifically to do with the aiming (at least not that has been said by anyone from 343i)

There are some members that are doing that, and its unfortunate because indeed the aiming has changed, 343i said they changed the aiming mechanic from the beta to final release, and you are saying that while it felt good to you before the 24/11 update it feels like crap now

I understand this I do, but for many people (myself included) the aim has been crap since the game launched and has been possibly exacerbated by this firmware update
I admit that before the firmware update/ 24/11 update I had a 1.4k/d (not great I know) but since then my K/D has dropped to 0.9 which is a massive drop
Maybe you’re right, maybe the 24/11 update did break something
