hay for my second post what do you think is the most powerful weapon
Happy second post!
I would say the NOVA bomb is the most powerful weapon in the Halo universe, besides the Halo rings(?)
As for gameplay I would argue there is a case to be made that the Halo CE pistol is a jack of all trades & as such is the most powerful weapon.
Target locator all the way! That little death machine shoots a volley of missiles onto anything you want to blow up.
Micheal Bay should get his hands on one of these.
By definition anything can be classed as a weapon. I would hate to see the Infinity coming straight at me like a battering ram.
Guess it depends on if you’re talking about a specific game or the Universe of Halo. I’d have to say maybe the rings themselves? But if we’re talking about the games themselves, I would also agree the CE Magnum would probably win, or maybe even the H2 Battle Rifle.
The Glassing Beam has the power to wipe entire planets clean of life. I think we have a winner.
Allow me to give what is probably an annoying and pretentious answer: the truth.
In CE, Guilty Spark weaponizes the truth by leaving out some very important details when guiding the Chief towards activating Halo. A lie via exclusion rather than active falsifying is a dangerous weapon indeed.
2 is all about the consequences of finding out the truth. The heretic leader who The Arbiter is sent to kill tries to use the truth that Guilty Spark tells him about Halo to rally followers to his cause of exposing the prophets’ lies. The Prophets, who have long known that their Great Journey isn’t all they are advertising it to be, manipulate an entire inter-species military alliance into a costly war in search of a misguided salvation. Tartarus, when confronted with the truth, is enraged and can’t handle having his ideology shattered right at the moment where it was supposed to bring him his greatest victory. This is why the Arbiter is a hero and Tartarus is a villain: their reactions to having their truths undone defined them and caused them to diverge.
3 is where the Prophet of Truth has become so obsessed with the lie he has been telling the Covenant that he himself is beginning to believe it. He is finally undone by The Arbiter, the one whose life he spared to send him to cover up the truth, only for him to learn the truth himself and become a true arbiter, able to decide for himself what is true and what is false. So naturally he takes out the guy whose false agenda is threatening the entire galaxy.
In 4, Chief is forced to face his inner truth: that he is truly, deeply, alone. He clutches on to the only one who really understands him, Cortana, but ultimately he ends up with no one left who knows him well. Lasky is more of a fanboy, and Halsey is off doing who knows what who knows where (yes Spartan Ops and 5 answer these questions, but the answer is unsatisfying from the perspective of wanting the story to focus on Master Chief). He is alone, and he never really had to face that truth before. He had previously either had Halsey, other Spartans, or Cortana to keep him grounded and fool him into thinking that he is not so detached from his humanity, so much so that he seems shaken in 4’s epilogue when Lasky tries to extend empathy to him.
Master chief is obviously the most dangerous and powerful weapon in the halo universe
In halo ce vehicle collision damage is set to 1000 and the health you have is less than 100 just by slightly bumping into a vehicle just a little bit will kill you.
Tank beats everything!
“Hey, how does 90 millimetres of tungsten strike ya?”
MAC cannons are super sick, the gauss warthog gun, and i wish I could get my hands on the Stanchion gauss sniper from halo wars 2!

I concur. Tank does beat everything.
Guys guys
the plasma pistol
The Brain is a powerful weapon!..Oh wait well the Halo’s of course but I guess if you mean weapon like hand held then…hmm…Energy Sword? that can cut through almost virtually anything? Sniper Rifle that can take out Banshees? Not sure any weapon can be powerful if its in the right hands but Halo is probably one of them.
Spartan Laser? Reach rocket launcher? CE pistol? I’m not sure
The most powerful weapon that the player can use in the games is definitely the target locator in reach. But since that is only really in one mission and firefight, and technically you aren’t the one actually shooting it (the ship doing the orbital strike is), I’m going to say that the spartan laser is the most powerful weapon you actually use. It can one shot tanks, hunters, chieftains, pretty much anything.
I’d argue the target locator is easily defeated by a roof over your head which keeps it far from my most dangerous weapon.
From a purely gameplay perspective, the H4 Binary rifle was absolutely busted. 1 shot kill from any body shot. Up close it turns into a shotgun with the same 1SK nonsense. Did I mention it does fat damage to vehicles as well? There was nothing the H4 BiRi couldn’t do, and thank god they retuned it in H5.
The Halo itself, anything that has the ability to wipe out all life in the galaxy is unbelievably broken and overpowered.
The frag grenades in Halo: CE are basically tactical nukes that you can carry four of. People who started with later games in the series frequently underestimate the destructive power of those bad boys. Pistol and frag grenades are an unstoppable combo. In the Silent Cartographer, they shouldn’t have brought you a rocket launcher to deal with the hunters, they should have brought you thousands of rounds of pistol ammo and several dozen frag grenades.
Id say the Nornfang sniper is the most overpowered power weapon.
