As we can see in the video, the two names have a “logo” Ok. So, that got me thinking. Football teams, have a “logo”. So, the obvious thing is teams are back, but with a bigger part.
They said MP would be explained, and we know most Spartans are dead. So who are the “spartans”?
My guess: It’s marines playing in a simulator, before they go off to battle, just to see what it’s like to be a marine.
Why?: Because if they were real spartans, they wouldn’t die, just go MIA.
It could be a VR simulator for training purposes; after all having Spartan IVs killing each other could (in terms of story) be…costly. This way, simulated training exercises would not be fatal and no assets would be lost. The VR sims might tie into the main story as to help the IVs become better trained to handle this “new, ancient threat”.
That’s my guess if the story is serious.
If it’s going to be more like RVB (Red versus Blue) and be funny, well, more interesting possibilities arise. You can do much more with humor in a MP story and Halo 4 could benefit from it’s machinima roots as well. To be honest, it would be easier to do it with humor since a serious story with Halos MP might feel forced.
Never thought about it that way, but maybe since its Spartan IV’s, We might see one in the campagin, or like I said, they aren’t real spartans
