Anybody notice that with Halo 5’s smart link most people seem like they got A LOT better with precision weapons? It’s like the whole community has gotten a lot better or the people who can’t aim just quit. I remember playing swat in Halo 3, Reach, and Halo 4 and most people were not that good and now it like most people are getting perfects or getting top of the leaderboard in SWAT. Just wondering is it in effect with balancing of weapons, did the aim tracking change? What has changed??
Everyone complains about aiming being weird, yet everyone now has great aim.
Not sure tbh, people have been playing longer than they did back in the days. Gamers are getting better as times go on.
Probably because the only people that actually play swat anymore are those that are good at it, everyone else is in unranked modes. Just my opinion on it so dont claim it as fact. As to the whole ADS thing, i think it has made people worse, all everyone does is zoom in and when they get hit they de-scope then try to zoom again which throws their aim off. Shooting from the hip is still the most effective way of playing swat.
If you see someone that can’t shoot or walking into a wall, most likely it’s someone playing Halo for the first time or someone’s parent or grandparent. XD

Pretty much. Even without smart link, a lot of people would still be good because of the bullet mag.
I don’t know about you guys but a lot of the people I play with rather play without ADS if we don’t need it. It’s one less button to press so you get slightly better mobility and you don’t have to worry about descope if you take a hit. So anything under medium range for us is like playing old school halo aim. I do agree with you though, I used to top swat in halo reach all the time, I loved it. But in H5 I die before I even know where they are, people just hit your head no worries, where they didnt so much in reach.

Yeah never noticed how much a little bullet magnetism changes peoples gameplay. Just watched the devs cover it in a YouTube video. Just to show how much magnetism changes certain shots I’ll throw the link below.

Smart link really only affected autos. All precision weapons had scope in features in previous Halos.
