Most of halo 4's mechanics has to go.

To put it this way, I have more fun with CoD than with halo because halo 4 is a mess.
343 tried new things so they attract more players but it only made the game a big mess and a lot of players left.
I had fun with campaign, spartan ops and Forge but Multiplayer is just ruined.
Reasons are:

-aim assist & magnetism are higher compared to other halo’s and it removes the skill gap because its to easy to hit somebody.

-Flinch ruins long range combat because it isn’t a big penalty compared to descope.
-perks cut out weapon weaknesses like dexterity with the Rocket launcher.

-Loadouts are poorly made because of plasma grenades and pistols ruin vehicle play and the boltshot is a One shot kill camp weapon.

-Bloom is annoying but it prevents spamming across the map but it is almost gone for the DMR and pistol and include the aim assist and magnetism, everybody can spam across the map getting kills within a second.

-The lack of gametypes makes the game repetitive.
We bassicly have slayer, two flag ctf, KotH, territories with basses, slayer with a marker, Flood, Odball, Grifball and Ricochet.

Those are my most annoying things.
And we also have no visible ingame skill system for the competitive players.
343 really needs to get there heads together because halo doesn’t need to be easier, have perks or flinch to keep up.

As far as your big bullets points go, I get the arguments and I expect you will see changes in 5 based on 4’s population drop, but personally I just don’t care much one way or the other. I’ll adapt to whatever they decide to do.

As for visible skill-based ranks:

This is a no-win situation for 343. If they stay gone (a decision also reached by Bungie) then we will have people complaining that the game is not competitive enough. But if you bring them back you will get an equally powerful backlash from both people who don’t want it as well as from people who did want it but either don’t understand how it works or who disagree with how it works. Halo 3 forums overflowed with players ranting about how trueskill was cheating them of their “rightful” 50.

It just isn’t enough to say “bring back 1-50.” That system needs to be replaced. The Arena wasn’t the answer and neither was Waypoint-only CSR, but that doesn’t make a return to the lesser-of-evils 1-50 system any better of a proposition.

So aim assist and magnetism arguably need to be lowered.

Dexterity isn’t an instant reload button for the RL. It shortens the reload time

So certain weapons shouldn’t be Loadout weapons.

Bloom is bad but necessary to prevent spamming but people are spamming anyways.

We arguably can’t afford more diverse playlist offers with the limited population that we have.

I remember how when CSR dropped there was a slew of people complaining about people dropping out of the lobby and quitting just in general.

So far you’ve only listed a few mechanics and the arguments you’re making against most of them don’t demand removal but editing.

I would say the only things in halo 4 that need to go are sprint flinch and perks. The rest need to be tweaked, evolved or retooled to be different.

Honestly Id have to disagree. I ee more people wanting ranks 1-50 back. It was just a fun thing that worked in previous games. It help the player become better by playing harder and the amounts of fear coming those who are rank 34 and below was just amazing when playing against Rank 50`s. It also gave the player a reason to play the game over and over. Im not asking for a copy and paste game , but wouldnt it be smarter to take something has work for the best Game in the franchise and add to that?

1-50 system is not personnel but the compeditive community wants it.

343 actually did a very good job of making the csr almost impossible to be apart of the selling of accounts problem. You do any different in one game and it changes instantly. It should be in game, but the only rank players could see would be their own. Waypoint should be able to show everyone’s rank.
