What weapons are you all most looking forward to playing with and what weapons would you like to see added/confirmed in the future? For me personally, I would love to see the SMG come back and can’t wait to play with the heatwave for the first time

That thing has some of the greatest sound design attached to it out of any game I’ve played in a long time. Hitting headshots and listening to it echo around Live Fire was ssssooo good.

Yeah. While I’ve been pretty negative about the game, its sandbox actually rather intrigues me.
I don’t feel halo’s sandbox has really properly evolved since CE. Its merely added more ‘stuff’. Now, some of its some pretty cool ‘stuff’, but for the most part the sandbox devolved into the ‘utility weapon’ and everything else being some gimmick you might want to use. That’s not to say CE’s pistol wasn’t really powerful, but it wasn’t necessarily the best tool for the job all the time in campaign, CE also didn’t necessarily always give you the option to have the pistol, whereas I feel later titles always make sure your favored utility weapon is well stocked.
Infinite seems happy to shake things up, both on the UNSC and covenant side, and provide multiple weapons that all seem viable, but also feel very different (unlike h4 which made a lot of BR/AR clones to balance loadouts). This is rather huge, as the only game that tried to shake up the sandbox was Reach.

I think back in 2020 they confirmed that the magnum and classic shotgun were not in the game, but they would be open adding it back in post-launch.
However, given the delay and changes made to the game, there a chance they could be back in.
Im holding out hope that t he SAW is still in the game. Given that it’s a 343 weapon, I think the chances are high, but I’ve yet to see it.
Heatwave is basically a more “pro” version of the scatter shot. It’s satisfying to use but I would take the bulldog over it tbh
Weapons I’m excited about using is the skewer in BTB. wish it would impale Spartans against walls/background

I definitely want the SAW to return as well. It was too good.

I’m excited about the commando, but very disappointed that it comes at the cost of the DMR. Seems like its always 1 step forwards, 2 steps back with 343.

i’m not really worried. the DMR has always been a weird weapon to balance and it performs a similar enough role to the BR. the DMR outright replaced the BR in reach because bungie didn’t want sandbox redundancy. it was 343i that decided to have them coexist in 4 and 5, where they felt a little too interchangeable.
well since in the sandbox leads own words they have the sidekick because they want to bring back the magnum as it should have always been. so im pretty excited to see a true successor to CE’s magnum in a modern game. halo 5 just tried to add in an homage more then it really tried to make a successor.
I dont actually expect them to follow through of course, atleast not for free, but I like to hope they would.

Was it? I think its funny how we got most of our information about halo infinite through toys lmfao. Ive seen people with videos on youtube talking about infinite and there like so we have this possible leak or new information and its from megablocks lol

Yeah really want to see the SMG in Halo Infinite. From the old weapons i’d like to see the Needle Rifle and DMR.

Personally I prefer the DMR over the BR. But I also really hate to hear arguments about sandbox redundancy, since they are so heavily rooted in multiplayer. I personally care 0% about balancing the multiplayer sandbox. Halo CE didn’t have some super carefully calibrated sandbox, but it was a blast. I think online multiplayer takes itself too seriously, and I really hate to see casual play influenced by the demands of e-sports.
Maybe if a gun is cool, it should just… be in the game? I liked having both the BR and the DMR in Halo 4 and 5, although I think their redesign of the DMR looked kind of lame. Talk about sandbox redundancy, look at all the many many weapons available in games like COD or BF. Nobody is saying “hey get rid of this AR, it’s the same as all the others!”
People like variety.
Sticky Detonator, I would love to see it again.
I’m looking forward the pulse carbine most, and Heatwave. Need to try it out more.
Big but, I would like too see all the fan favorite weapon, throughout the Halo series added in the game.
