In the latest small news article for Halo 5 Guardians Josh Holmes has talked about how much Halo 5 has changed since launch due to the free updates added to the game. Additionally before the post ended he gave use a little bit of a less obscure tease for the next Halo 5 update compared to what Bravo usually says “more goodness”. In the not so distant future we will indeed be getting the custom games browser, more forge canvases, an improved spectator mode (good for E SPORTS), New Warzone Firefight maps added into the playlist and of course the usual stuff we could expect in a typical update (unknown whether or not that means more arena maps).
The second biggest thing to me is indeed the warzone firefight support. I wonder if this means more unique warzone firefight maps or Prospect and Temple modified for the mode (which would be sweat either way!). Additionally we can safely say that more of the warzone firefight issues that the community have addressed will be resolved in this big update.
Yeah I noticed that too. It would be nice if they address some of the WZFF issues, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Last time they made some tweaks to it, the general consensus was that the respawn timer needs to be fixed, but they didn’t touch it. I hope we get more details soon, though, because this is exciting

I am not sure they will want to change their respawn timers though. But hopefully the other big issues get fixed at least

It could be possible that they decided to make brand new maps for firefight exclusively, like they did for Warzone Assault, but at the moment we can only assume that they could be firefight versions of prospect and temple, which is still good
Interesting… I didn’t think that they would update Warzone Firefight with new maps, but it will be interesting to see what else comes out of this. Maybe they’ll implement some bug fixed and add more stuff to the gametype as well?

Too little too late. Its been quite pathetic at the amount of maps that the game has for its premier game type. These should have been bundled as quarterly DLC. I am definitely done with Warzone. Additionally, hey have done nothing to address the blow out matches. While in Battlefield 1 they fully addressed that from the get go for their main gametypes. I’ve had more close matches in BF already than I have had in a year of playing Halo.

Based off of that last sentence you must have been playing a different game compared to me. Maybe you thought the IW beta was Halo 5 by accident? Because I have had some of the most intense close games in gaming history with my experience in Halo 5 arena. As for warzone it has been like that with BTB in every Halo where one side dominates the other if they are in a party. And just like with BTB without parties Warzone can get super close with quite a number of my games ending at 1000-990 when no disgusting farmers where involved. So your point is not valid for many people

I’m not talking about Arena, I’m talking specifically about Warzone. Go look at my game history for Warzone. Rarely are any of my matches close. Just because Halo has a history of one side dominating is no excuse to encourage it like what they have done with Warzone. My point is valid in fact to me and many people we have seen complaints on this forum almost on a daily basis about organized teams dominating. You, just like 343 will continue to ignore something that runs players away. We are now seeing the cold reality of running players away. We now see complaints almost daily about low level players being matched against players that they should not be matched with such as low level platinums playing Onyxes. Platinum players matched against Silver players. I’ve seen players get matched with the same players in back to back matches. If there was a healthy player base golds would play golds, silvers play silvers and so forth, which is obviously not happening now.
