Halo 5 needs more substance if it wants to keep players coming back.
I played halo 5 online with my brother for the first time yesterday. He lives many states over and online games are one of the ways we keep in touch. We finished campaign and then asked what next? He wanted to play slayer but I told him its all ranked and that at onyx and diamond level, he wouldnt have much fun. He decided to pass on ranked as he’s never tried mp before. “isnt there any regular slayer”, “No but we can play warzone if you want?”
After two games of warzone, he just lost interest in the game as a whole. “I have to play a lot just to maybe unlock armor I want?” He cant play splitscreen with his kids or wife and there’s no casual slayer options. I’m fortunate that all I care about is Arena but I know for sure that many more gamers out there like my brother that will slowly begin to lose interest in the game and series eventually.
