I am finding that my viewing experience of Halo Waypoint seems to be diminishing more and more. It started when people began creating hateful threads in regards to the poor MP performance of MCC. I cannot visit this website without seeing multiple threads which spew hateful comments / unhelpful and destructive criticism concerning 343 employees and users who support 343 in their efforts to improve MCC.
While I realize I have no place to expect any punitive action be taken against malicious “complaint” threads, I do wish that the Halo Waypoint forum mods and admins would take serious consideration into cracking down on malicious “complaint” threads…and even go so far as to start handing out warnings and bans to users who consistently post hateful comments that create an anxious and destructive environment. It is seriously getting out of control. I believe it is fair for 343 to expect more from its user base than the prevailing attitudes in the Halo MCC sub forum.
I wish I could see punitive measures taken against users who have turned the Halo MCC sub-forum into a cesspool of hate and malice.
I believe that people should be able to voice their concerns, as well as the bugs/glitches they encounter in the game, but it has to be done with some degree of order, class, and maturity. The venomous stuff in that subforum is offensive. Users need a SINGLE spot, whether that be a separate subforum or a single thread, to voice the bugs and errors they encounter, and the rules for doing so should be spelled out and ruthlessly enforced so as to avoid immaturity.
This is just my opinion, and I am not trying to target anyone. I just want to see Halo Waypoint return to what it used to be; a community of rational, level-headed people who had a deference for reason and patience, and where vile attitudes, outrageous demands, and selfish entitlement knew no home.
Thank you.
