More social stuff, more good times.

I can’t be alone in thinking that the core of Halo’s multiplayer still lies with good, friendly, enjoyable unranked social playlists and gameplay?!

The new Halo5 multiplayer is brilliant stuff, don’t get me wrong. But I don’t want to have a sweaty session all day every day and worry about damaging my CSR because some idiot ruins the match. I’ll play hard when i’m with my team, not with toddlers screaming out over the mic.

More social stuff please 343!

Thank you, my thoughts exactly. I LOVE competitive but I also love wacky situations that happen with friends or some random with a mic and just laughing at an accidental betrayal that might have lost us the game.

So lets assume for a moment that you play social, and have a nice relaxing game where you completely destroy the enemy. All is good, right?

Nope, we then get the guy you just beat coming on here complaining about social being too sweaty, about how a tryhard destroyed him and he didn’t have fun at all.

They should make an unranked action sack playlist that DOESN’T TRACK STATS. Sadly every other “social” playlist we’ve had tracks w/l and k/d.

personally I don’t mind them tracking k/d and w/l but I admit that I’m starting to have the competitive feel for BTB recently >.<

it’s really all I ever play anymore I’m usually just looking for casual gaming after a day of work.

This what we get qhen 343 only listens to the competitve crowd. They took away all the fun aspects of Halo and made it into a try hard game.

I dont think it was just 343’s doing. Microsoft is seeing how big esports is and wants a major esport on their console after the loss of CoD esports to sony. Another thing is they are giving free DLC every month which keeps players around or coming back. So once HWC is finished for a couple months we are mostly going to get more social playlists I feel.

I think you’re on to something here that I hadn’t considered. HWC is a few days away and most probably has taken a heap of their time and interest in the development of the competitive play.

Maybe once that’s done, and we’ve got firefight out, some more social stuff will come around. Fingers crossed eh?

Exactly. I lost several games in a row the other night and went down three levels. Not because i didn’t work my bollocks off, but we lost at least a player or two and we got completely demolished. In a social playlist, I couldn’t really care because it doesn’t / wouldn’t affect my stats.

With everything at the moment, every single detail or move you make is logged and recorded. Good for competition and team work, not for a relaxed environment.

THIS. This is that part of social I don’t understand 100%. Do most people want social so they can destroy another team? Or do they want social so that they have playlist where losing doesn’t really matter?

Not to dismiss your want of social, but have you tried Warzone? Its all I play and its pretty fun/casual for me. At least until they release a true social playlist, Warzone might be a good alternative for you.
