More Sleek/Slim armors please !

I’m hoping that for the next update or perhaps the one after that we can get some more armors that are specifially designed for Female Spartans. Since most of the Halo 5 armors look kinda bulky imo and it’d be great to have some that are designed with female Spartans as their main audience, by this I mean some sleek and slim armors that don’t look dainty and frilly. But also don’t look like you just slapped some pieces of metal together and called it done Vale’s armor is a good example of what I’d like to see more of. Maybe I’m just being weird but what do you all think ?

Well Remember Reach is most likely only returning armour from Reach

You do realize that there is a female variant of pretty much every armor in the game right? Go into the Spartan appearance, and it has a gender select option. Switch it to female, and there you have it, female armor. The armor in this game isn’t about telling one gender from the other, its about functionality and protection from weapon’s fire.

Yeah, but there were some female spartans in Reach

Why would you want a Spartan in armor that’s not bulky? Now that’s the real question, this isn’t the “power rangers”. Armor is bulky.

Take a look at the Mk IV-VI armor systems, SPI armor… all worn by female Spartans and designed for them.

Why should females get there own armour men don’t ?
It’s SPARTAN armour!

Although all armour gives the same protection some think that using the less bulky armour makes them harder to spot they even use the female body because it’s smaller, if female armour was even thinner them more would switch to a female body and armour ?

Kinda agree with most people here… Female armor or male armor isnt actually a thing… You choose your gender and the female looks smaller than the male…

Recon you may be looking for more female named armor sets however what armor names suggest males?? Female or Male… Its Spartan’s which where both…

You even get to chose pink and purple colours hahaha

The phallus!

Edit: I mean … The fotus!

Why not? I think that would be great. Halo 5 should be setup for everyone with great armor options to use in battle.

Mmmh…I dont undertand it, sorry.
So for example, do you think Mark IV or Locke`s armor are designed for males?
I think all the Armor sets suit either males or females…

Kat’s armor should be good for you, it comes in the next update.

The armours are multi-gender and its not really like there are any specific male ones except ones of the characters. Or am I wrong? I might be…

Locke’s armour is quite slimming.

No thanks. Like many stated, armor is suppose to protect and be unisex in appearance, not emphasize male or female features.

I get what you’re saying. And there are, as usual, two schools of thought on it.

  1. Lore wise, at least for Blue Team in their GEN 1, it was that you couldn’t tell who was in the armor aside from their mannerisms, regardless of gender. But that’s no fun for the games. Kinda like how for the new Star Wars they didn’t want to feminize Captain Phasma’s armor …

  2. … but they still wanted you to know there was a woman in there. Statistically half the player base is female and besides that, sometimes I like to play as a female Spartan. I also take a lot of screenshots and certain armor types just look better on female Spartans (like Recon in Halo 4).

^ I’m all about option 2.

But the thing is, Reach had massive bulky Spartans who looked more like slow Gears of War meat heads than what lean, fast, agile Spartans should. They corrected that with Halo 4, but everyone kept complaining about it. So they beefed them back up again for Halo 5 … well, more like met them in the middle, some are bulky, some are lean. But I agree, OP.

Kinda unrelated, but Phasmas armor isn’t feminized because she was originally going to be a male character. The female replacement was a last minute change on Abrams behalf, which is fine with me. Learned that from the bonus feature documentary on the blue ray lol

I saw that too, but I also heard from the actress [paraphrasing] “I love that they didn’t feminize the armor, but I still wanted people to know there was a woman in there”.

I see what you mean and I’d like that.

So you guys are seriously saying that the Goblin armor was not designed with a more feminine idea in mind? That’s the first I can think of, but I am pretty sure there are a few others that have more of a feminine lean.

Correct me if I’m wrong OP, but I think you are just asking for more armor somewhat geared towards girls/women in the sense of aesthetically. In a way they already have that, just very few, and why not more? I agree with this. Even though I probably wouldn’t wear them. I would think since they have catered the bulky crowd why not to the less bulky? Heck there is a ridiculous amount of variants to choose from anyway.

Mako is another and so is Jumpmaster.
