More severe banhammers...

Quitting in this game is becoming the most aggravating experience of Halo 5…
More then 60% of games i have played have people dropping out (either dashboarding or using the leave game option)… and I think anyone who quits a game should never be allowed to play again… losing connection is one thing, but players with a consistent drop rate should be banned from the ranked Arena playlist’s permanently… if it is going to adversely affect my rank, then their ability to affect me in the future should be significantly reduced… and I have encountered players who leave when we are only down 5 in the opening 2 minutes in the game… even when we are up 5 and lose the lead by 2 the same notorious player leaves again…
This is by far the best Halo, but having my rank be affected by players who have no intention of competing sours the experience completely…

Lil’ bit too harsh, but I agree.
I’d say the most reasonable is 24-48 hour ban for repeat offenders

The kids who quit have no intention of taking this game seriously so whether they return to play ever again does not bother me… they paid their 60 bones, 343 owes them nothing… I dropped 90 bucks to be pissed every night, it’s crazy…

May be harsh, but absolutely necessary to weed out people who ruin the gaming experience of others… luckily I am decent enough to sometimes win 3v4s… but 2v4 becomes an unnecessary waste of time… I just played 5 games in a row where somebody quit on my team or the other team… it’s not fun to smash teams when they are down a man… conversely it’s not fun to play a 2v4 strongholds at all…

I would support a 24 your ban for habitual quitters in arena and WZ.

Hi I’m The ban thread please feed me.

This is a suggestion for the ban system, not a “Why was I banned” thread.

I would be all for harsher penalties provided there was a social equivalent to the arena playlists. However, a lot of people don’t want to play war zone they want to play classic Halo but are lumped in with people who like to play competitively. I’ve seen peoples ranks in the lobbies I’ve played with people who haven’t placed or with silvers when I’m Diamond. If 343 fixed this then I’d be happy with a harsher penalty.

If the bans are overly harsh then people will just play something else. If someone is banned 24-48 hours they will probably just leave halo or create another account.

I also think they stopped banning people when they lose connection because I’ve lost connection like 12 times since memories of reach and haven’t been banned. That makes me happy.

ah yes, and while we’re at it let’s take their thumbs off and prevent them from breeding. In all seriousness though it’s not like they have any social 4v4 slayer Playlist to go to so they won’t hurt anyone’s rank. I mean that’s just absurd to have.

If we could separate the people who actually want to play for rank from the casuals who just wanna play and drop out of the game with their own social playlist, I think we would see less quitting in the ranked playlist.

Nope they havent

More severe? Are you kidding?

You need to understand that the servers of this game are poop sometimes. I get disconnected a lot here in the Middle East, and I’ve already gotten temporarily banned multiple times as a result. I don’t want to be permanently banned the next time, thank you very much.

So you want more people to not buy halo or play it because of this asinine system that punishes you for playing a video game. You know something that doesn’t actually matter and it is there for enjoyment. Ad don’t start with this they ruined my enjoyment because we dealt with quitters in Halo 3 just fine. The banhammer hasn’t done anything other then turn people away. Why should someone not be able to play a game when they quit newsflash no other game pulls this bull -Yoink- on its costumers and fan base.

Feeding the beast is what we do best

Once, I played a Warzone game with only 4 people. The rest of my team left so it was 4 against 12.

Did you read the OP?

Edit: never mind, I see you posted again later

Permanent ban? Surely you jest, they’d be no one left lol

I agree that the ban should be harsher though as every game I play has quitters and it takes up a large chunk of time reporting them all. There should be some way of spotting a disconnect though, as I don’t want to report them (I’ve been disconnected myself this week).

You also have to remember that not everyone is playing to be competitive or to play seriously. It is a game after all and unless our a pro or doing tournament your going to be playing with those players. Don’t like it? Get people to party with, if you don’t want to do that than its on you.

I completely DISAGREE with everything you said in this post.
