I started playing Reach again the other day with a buddy of mine. Amazingly I was still doing pretty well, even getting over 25 kills a game every so often. But as soon as I went off split screen I couldn’t aim worth a damn. Sensitivity 2 is great for being accurate, but not being up close, and 3 makes it hard to aim. Hoping Halo 4 has a 2.5 or something along those lines.
I propose learning to play at 3. It’s really not that big of a stretch to actually make the jump from 2 to 3. In fact, it’s only a matter of willingness. No matter what sensitivity you select, your brains will udjust to it after a few hours of play. Your aim will totally suck for those hours, but then you get back to your normal games. Anyhow, instead of asking for purposeless extra sensitivities, you might want to actually try the higher sensitivity options for a while.
I’m stuck at two. Three throws me way off. I even used one for a while. AND I have Kontrol Freeks . . .
i hope that the go higher than 10. Some times 10 feels to slow for me.

Ha!
I’d like to see an option of having different horizontal and vertical sensitivities. It would make playing on some widescreen TV’s a bit easier.
As tsassi said, it’s all a matter of adjustment. Sometimes, just for the hell of it, I’ll play a game on 10 sensitivity (I normally play on 3), and even in the span of a few minutes, I feel as if I have a slight handle on my aim! It’s all a matter of muscle-memory!

I’m completely serious.

I’m not sure what to say . . . That’s stupid fast. Even if you do manage kills with it, why would you ever need to go faster? Nobody plays on 10 so if you were even capable of it you’re at a huge advantage already.

LOL… I’m not the only one that i know that plays on 10…and he has a better k/d then you so it is extremely manageable
Maybe it’s my large screen, but I have a hard time keeping an aimer steady on an enemy on anything above 3. I don’t see why it would be so hard to implement sensitivities between the different levels. Between 3 and 4 sounds good.

I do play on 10 and sometimes when coming from a shooter such as Battlefield 3 that has higher highest sensitivity than Halo does, Halo sometimes feels slow for a while. And in fact, when doing a 180, it might feel like it takes a lifetime if you’re the kind of person who goes for the higher sensitivity in every shooter. However, I’m not really sure does any higher sensitivity really do any good in Halo. After all, the whole concept of aiming is different than in other modern shooters. In other shooters you really only adjust your aim onto the opponent and keep it still beacuse the opponent doesn’t strafe. However, in Halo you actually have to adjust your aim according to your opponent’s and your own strafe. Personally, when making big turns in Halo, I sometimes feel like I turn too slowly. But when in combat, I’m quite happy with the current 10 as my sensitivity. But I personally don’t see a problem if someone wants to go faster than that’s. After all, it’s only a matter of personal preference.

Thank you some one ealse understands me
well I actually used to play at 6 because 5 felt too slow and 7 felt too high but i managed to get to 7 as my current sensitivity. like someone else said, it’s up to muscle memory, just keep practicing with the higher level if you want to. but. the midpoints do sound like a good idea.
The more customizable the better I say. I wouldn’t mind having separate sensitivities for horizontal and vertical as well.
Just keep trying at 3, you will get used to it in no time
I started off at default in halo 2, switched to 10 in halo 3 and I’ve never looked back
I think it’s the switch to a full screen that’s really throwing me off. I think it’s easier to aim on a split screen.

Horizontal a vertical are different already. Horizontal is higher.

You can’t really adjust them separately. However, what I would like to see Halo to introduce is a full, four directional sensitivity option. I want to be able to adjust my sensitivity in all four directions. Why? It would solve the slowturn issue that plagues Xbox controllers. For example, I currently have the problem that my aim is slightly slower to right than it is to left (or the other way around, I don’t really remember). The introduction of four directional sensitivity settings would really solve problems like this.
Yeah separating difficulty into horizontal and vertical would be really good. Perhaps it would be an “advanced” setting beyond the recommended presets.
Personally I have had enough of my vertical speed not being fast enough to raise my weapon to defend against someone high above me. Seems bizarre that you can’t move that quickly vertically.
