When I say “realistic” I mean the weapons should have all the buttons/levers necessary to function ( mag release, bolt catch etc.). And every button should have a function ( mag release, bolt catch etc.). It bugs me that in most Halos, the spartan your playing as do not press any mag release when he pulls out the mag to reload. He just pulls out the mag ( just like that). And in Halo Reach, the AR have a ridiculous amount of buttons. Most of which seem to have no use. The only thing i can’t seem to find on the AR in Reach is a mag release button, yet when you reload the spartan places his thumb on a spot where there should be a mag release yet there isn’t one there.
The Magnum in Halo cea is one of the only weapons of the Halo games which has a realistic amount of buttons ( 1 mag release, 1 bolt catch, 1 safety lever), so hopefully the weapons in Halo 4 is a bit more realistic.
For you people who don’t understand what i’m talking about. In order for a weapon to function ( both IRL and in the Haloverse) you would have to push buttons to get the magasine out. I’m just saying I want a mag-release button on the guns and an animation where your spartan would push the button to reload.
Why do they need buttons? maybe spartans just prefer to just pull the clip out (which makes sense)
thats overcomplication weaponry, in canon.
But seriously, its a scifi shooter. realistic and scifi dont work well together.

when he talks about realism he means realistic in the Halo universe. Humans in halo ue bullet guns not much diff from our own. it only mkaes sense for there to be a button to push for the mag to slide out.

I can’t believe I have to explain this but, in order to get the magasine out of a weapon you have to push a button to release the mag. You can’t just pull out the mag.

how bout a finger scanner, that wen u put ur finger on it it scans it to see if ur a spartan. then u can reload

How in God’s name would that be a useful feature? You do realise half the weapons aren’t made by the UNSC? and that the half that are are used by standard soldiers as well as spartans?

Yeah, just a mag-realease button would be much more efficient

All im asking for is a mag-release. And i know that UNSC weapons already use those, im just saying that the weapons in Halo 3 didn’t have mag-release buttons. And it’s inpossible to just pull the mag out.
> You want a realistic gun? Join the army!

Why is everybody so opposed to this idea? It’s a small addition to the weapon design and a slight change to the reload animation. Would it really destroy your gaming experience? I think not.
I think you are probably the first person to really care about this and most people probably find it pointless becuase who cares if your spartan presses a button or not to reload all I want him/her to do is to reload
