I need to start off by saying that I enjoy both eras of Halo. Both the Bungie era and the 343 era.
However, there seems to be a constant trend lately with Halo content by 343. And that is no questions get answered in games anymore. Instead, more questions.
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
Terminal 10: " Oh, but what I would not give to have even a single company of Prometheans here right now. They would most certainly restore order with their trademark lethality, although…that would mean he would have to be here, too. And without the Librarian around to temper his rage, well… These Reclaimers might almost prefer the Flood."
What could be worse than the Flood? We didn’t know. It worried me about the threats that Halo 4 could bring.
Halo 4
Actually, wrapped up nice. Spartan Ops? That left many questions. More specifically, the Janus Key? What is the Absolute Record? How will Halsey get revenge?
Halo 2 Anniversary
Someone is hunting Master Chief? He’s gone AWOL? What the BLEEP! is going on?
Halo 5: Guardians
A question that STILL hasn’t been answered. Why did Cortana go all dictator style? She never showed these kinds of symptoms before. No signs showing that it was coming. And yet suddenly she wants control of everything. What’s the real game plan? And how does the Infinity plan to fight? And does Cortana plan to activate the Halo ring at the end of the legendary ending to enfore more peace?
Halo Wars 2
What happened to Professor Anders? A Guardian stopped her? Did Cortana send Spirit of Fire to the Ark in an effort for them to send her a Halo ring to use and control? Is that the same ring in Halo 5?
Halo Infinite
Where’s the Infinity? Is it destroyed? Is help coming? What about the Endless? What’s their plan?
Every chapter either answers some or none of our questions. But always gives us a bunch more.
